END created the vegan-friendly Stumptown LT Hiking Shoe to fill the needs of activists who spend all their time either on the trail or thinking about being on the trail. This super-lightweight high-top uses a mix of recycled EVA and virgin EVA to create a somewhat sustainable midsole, and bamboo-infused synthetics in the upper for extreme breathability. A molded protection plate gives long-lasting support and END’s Trail Radius Regrind Outsole smears rock and cuts dirt equally well.
Bottom Line: A vegan-friendly, environmentally conscious hiking shoe to soothe your sole.

Yesterday was the first time I've had a chance to take a walk in my new shoes. I walked 5.2 miles on sidewalks and the beach wearing a 21 lb backpack. While the heels of my shoes felt snug when I was slipping them on, they fit well. There was plenty of width for my feet, especially near the balls where my feet are at their widest. Based on this short test, I'm happy with them.

They are exactly what I wanted, a light supportive summer hiking shoe that will last for backpacking trips in the Grand Canyon. They are super light!!!!!! Plus they have this 80's high top thing going on.
Hello,These shoes are not waterproof (look for shoes that say GTX, Gortex, XCR, eVent, or a generic "water proof" in the tech specs). They do get extra kudos for having partially recycled EVA midsole and using some bamboo for the uppers.Mahalo, Sumo
