With its five and a half inches of plush rear travel and 140mm of up-front squish, the 2015 Ellsworth Epiphany Alloy 27.5 GX Complete Mountain Bike packs cross-country lightness into a burly all-mountain package. Kitted out with SRAM's GX componentry and fast rolling Race Face Aeffect wheels, it climbs with ease and precisely picks its way through technical descents.
Ellsworth dubs the Epiphany's Instant Center Tracking (ICT) suspension the most advanced suspension platform in the world. As it moves through travel, ICT keeps the instant center (or virtual pivot created by ICT's four bar suspension) as close to the chain force line as possible. In on-trail terms, this equates to a steady pedaling platform so your power is always transferring into forward motion.
Furthermore, ICT doesn't require a lock-out, so you can always keep the Rock Shox Monarch rear shock's travel fully active, even while climbing. The addition of chain torque doesn't constrain the system's travel, the Achilles heel of so many otherwise efficient suspension designs, so pedaling and bump compliance aren't working against each other. The end result of ICT is a plush, less-fatiguing ride with greater control and responsiveness over all terrain.
- A lightweight yet burly trail whip
- 5in of trail-smoothing ICT travel
- Light and stiff aluminum frame

- Q & A
- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
Seems to handle light freeriding well, lightening fast downhill descents are stable and smooth.
The grips and saddle that came with the bike sucked. It's not very fun to peddle uphill either.
Great deal on a classic! These are custom builds so components can be upgraded or swapped. We can do this in an XT 1x11 as well. This bike is also available in the blue color . If you have questions or need help ordering feel free to reach out to me direct-always happy to help!

Is the weight accurate on this for a medium at 12.4Kg?
These weights are for the medium frame so this is accurate. If you would like to discuss this bike please reach out to my email listed below. If weight is a big concern we also have the frame and can build it custom to make it even lighter at a similar pricepoint.
What's the headtube angle on this?
Hi Brenden- 70 degrees
