Last season you rode straight into the side of the lodge because it looked like a sweet new line back to the lift. Now that your shattered wrist is finally healed you should consider the Electric EG1 Goggle w/Bonus Lens. The anti-fog and anti-scratch coated polycarbonate lens delivers a pristine view of the mountain so you can avoid slope-hogging tourists and get to the bar instead of running into the side of it. Triple layer face foam provides a cushy connection with your new UV-ray proof outlook on life and Electric designers created the strap to play nicely with helmets.

lens changing

these goggles are great the only problem is the lens is tricky to change. You get the hang of it fast though.

spaceboy clarity

Well hello kids its review time again. I was fortunate enough to purchase these for 35$ on dept. of goods. So first off dept of goods I love you. I have spent upwards of 150$ for goggles in the past. This being said the 35 was a welcome price tag. After using the rose lens in low light conditions I am very pleased. After using the black chrome in full sun and shade conditions I must say, these goggles out performed the more expensive models. The fit yes is small but I am not the jolly green giant. I am 5'8" with my boots on. I will say though these fogged up after about 30 minutes of booter building and like all goggles you have to pat dry or force a bunch of air into the lens cavity to get it to clear. I have absolutely no problem recommending these goggles for around the 50$ price range. If you can get them do it you will be very happy with the purchase. P.S. the antifog film and lens surface has yet to wipe off something I cant say about other companies lenses.

Good deal, but just OK goggle

A very good deal (especially with the extra lens) but I found the fit to be fairly small on my face. Wanted to give the Pat Moore model a try so I could rep the NH state motto... just wasn't feeling the fit/range of sight ratio. Went with the Von Zipper "Dojo," which fit much better and absolutely love them.

Love the EG-1. Had it now for three years. Nice that you can switch between different lenses. The orange all weather lens wich is included is ok, but get the all weather lens, I love that one! The sun lens is just great. Great vision and normal colors.

Love my EG-1!

Yes. We receive all of our items direct from the manufacturer. In this case, all of our EG1 goggles come straight from Electric. I just checked Electric's site and it does look like they have all of these colors displayed on their site at this time as well.

Right now, all the EG1s we have in stock come with either a Bronze Silver Chrome or Bronze Gold Chrome as their primary lens.

Bronze is Electric's standard base lens and this particular tint enhances shadow contrast. It can be used in bright sun to cloudy conditions. Regular bronze lenses have a VLT of 24%. Bronze lenses with any type of chrome treatment are slightly better for bright sun and slightly less optimal for overcast/cloudy conditions compared to a non-chrome bronze lens.

What style bonus lenses come with the EG1's? Do you get to choose the 2 style lenses? I would like to have a low-light/snowy conditions lense.

Responded on

You get a free Rose lens with any pair of Electric EG1 goggles - no matter what lens color you choose as your primary lens. You can see a picture of the Rose lens on this page in the Detail Views (Photo #4).

Rose has a VLT of 30%. It filters blue light for increased contrast. It performs best in flat light, cloudy, or snowy conditions.

what is the bonus lens? another chrome lens?

These are the only goggles I use, the bonus lens makes this the best deal out. Spherical lenses, like in the EG2 or oakley crowbars make me really dizzy... EG1's without the spherical lens KILL it. They're comfortable and fit pretty well. I also take horrible care of most of my stuff... it takes a lot to scratch these.
