The Elan M1111 (Quad One) ski has the width and size to float over the deeps and may cause permanent powder grin. Step in and let go because the Elan M1111 super fat freeride ski eats up big lines like Homer eats donuts. The M1111's light wood core has a consistent flex that powers the ski through the white stuff. Soft torsional flex smears through turns for buttery goodness as you haul down the wide open bowls. Super-fat shape and a monster 161 millimeter shovel keep the ski floating up above everything. The Quad One's lifted swallowtail allows the ski to make smooth and effortless turns in the open powder. With its EL graphite base providing mach-like speeds, the Elan M1111 really knows how to rip it up.

Bottom Line: Go big or home on the Elan M1111 super fat freeride ski.

More than just eerie artwork...

If you take a look at this ski, yes it's big, but it doesn't ski like it. The float comes easy from the 161mm tip and the swallow-tail. It can bob and weave through powder bumps and even carve a decently solid turn on hardpack. Though it has surprising versatility, long ski lovers need to beware that it skis shorter than it is.

Classic Artwork and Huge Dimensions

160 in the tip. What is not to like if you have bottomless powder? The M 1111 skis really well in the deep pow as one would expect. Despite the huge dimension, the ski was nimble and the swallow tail lets you carve a deep trench. The only drawback is I need a longer length because the swallow tail eats a ton of the effective edge, so the ski feels short.
