The style makes up for the annoyance of putting them on. The knit top does not stretch so I cannot wear it with jeans that tuck in. You have to sit down and maneuver your foot to get them on but they are super cute and comfortable. They held up in their first Massachusetts winter.
These boots are leather made, and they are fairly water resistant, you could treat them and they would be that much more water resistant, but not waterproof.
