El Naturalista constructed the Men's Macabuca Shoes with naturally treated leather uppers and recycled cork insoles to give you top-notch comfort without undesirable environmental aftermath. By using river stones to temper the hide, El Naturalista gave the full-grain leather a rich texture and made them incredibly strong yet supple. The Macabuca clogs' insoles fit the contours of the foot, dispersing weight evenly for greater comfort on long walks. The cork insoles absorb shock and breathe well to make each step feel as pleasant as the last, while natural rubber soles provide flex, durability, and a faster degrading rate than synthetic materials.

I've had a pair of these for a year now and they rock! I read the other reveiws and a bunch of you don't think El Naturalista sizes correctly. I think they're right on the money, just read the chart closely. These might seem a bit expensive but if you've look arround the net enough you'll know that these are at a great price here @ Backountry and if you ever have an issue with them they are the best to deal with! Note that these do not have a removable footbed so if you are planning on putting in an orthodic order a half a size larger to compensate. I hope Backcountry starts carrying more of the El Naturalista mens line in the future because they've got a lot of really unique styles out there. When I find something I like I stay pretty loyal to that product and I'll be buying this brand for a long time to come. So.........buy these! You won't regret it, they're worth every penny!

Feel great ,like the leather my favorite shoes. I usually wear 10.5 bought size 44 and they fit perfectly

Another sizing question:I had ordered these, and returned them as they were too small. I generally wear an 11 in Keen, so I ordered a 44 for these. They were too small, my toes bumped into the front, so I sent them back. Has anyone ordered one size up and found that too work? Or do you think they would just end up being too big.Thanks

i got two pairs (on sale)- light brown and dark brown- both size 45. i usually wear a 10.5. i use sole inserts in them. one is perfect, one is a bit too small. so there's some variation.....
they are pretty much my favorite shoe.
by the way - i get so many comments on these it's amazing (99% good).

I picked up these shoes and just about haven't taken them off since. They're the most comfortable that I have from El Naturalista. Great full grain leather, laces tighten up extremely easily, soles are really grippy and aren't wearing out at all and did I mention they're really comfortable!?! The heel cup isn't overly small but they're designed in a way that they don't allow your heel to feel sloppy. A little funky Spanish style with amazing comfort....give 'em a try! You'll love them!!!

Was concerned about getting the right size. I usually get a 10.5 and I ordered a 44, they fit perfectly feel very nice and you probably will never see anyone else wearing the same style.

All leather, excellent footbed and all around comfort. Pretty close to Eccos. all in all, great buy.

I like these shoes - so far they are my favorite. They are comfortable and classy; I can wear them to work around the office, and kick around at home on Saturday and they are durable and comfortable enough to take out on the Frisbee golf course.

These shoes are some of the best fitting, feeling shoes made. The aesthetics on some of their shoes are hard-to-handle but I think that they are the ideal shoes if you are looking for some very causal and somewhat different.
