Description

A jacket that takes the mountain seriously.

Eider dedicated extra attention to designing a jacket sharing the name of a prime ski town, and the resulting Jackson Hole Jacket would make its namesake proud. Elder's proprietary Defender shell couples with a Cormax lining for a combination of weather resistance and comfort. Strategically insulated, the arms and body offer specific heat retention based on the body's needs during high aerobic output in a cold environment.

  • Critical seam taping prevents moisture from soaking through
  • Removable hood and removable powder skirt let the Jackson Hole convert from an all-mountain must to an around-town casual coat
  • Underarm zip vents allow you to control your body temp
  • Plentiful pockets keep you organized so you don't have to waste time fumbling for a lost or buried trail map

Amazing Jacket

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: True to size

Bought this jacket before a 4 day ski trip in February, and I've never been so pleased. Used in 0 Fahrenheit with just a base layer while downhill skiing and felt almost a bit warm, had to open the underarm zip vents to cool off a couple times. Hood also fits nicely over a helmet.

Can't get much better

Incredible in every way. Worth the money. Just wish it had more pockets.

Have you any other good waterproof jackets...

Have you any other good waterproof jackets like this on with more pockets & on special as I am thinking of Postage cost to add on to the cost of the jacket to South Australia. Ian

Best jacket I've ever owned

  • Gender: Male
  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

For as long as I can remember I have been layering and using a shell. I guess I stubbornly thought that anything else would be too bulky or heavy. After a season in this jacket I will never go back to my old ways.
The shell is really lightweight and stretchy but absolutely bombproof. I was skiing tight trees last year and snagged a thick branch head on with enough force to completely take me out. I thought for sure I'd ripped something but when I looked I couldn't even tell where the branch had snagged.
The down along the back is perfect for the lifts but is not too hot for spring skiing or touring. The underarm vents are pretty large so it doesn't take long to cool off it you need to. The zippers never snag and the pockets are large enough to fit your lunch. Even the powder skirt works better than any jacket I've had in the past.
I really can't say enough good things about this jacket. It's light, it's warm, it's bomber.

Fully featured at a great price!

The defender twill fabric on the exterior of this jacket is very unique and soft. Open it up and see the down lining on the back and you'll know it's super warm and comfy on the chairlifts. Removable hood and skirt, along with the fantastic fit and styling make it a great piece for skiing and nights on the town!

cool fabric

look closely and you will see this jacket has a visual texture. Easy to wear on the mountain or around town. This is our best selling color and fabric, see for your self how comfortable it is and of course it does have the lycra wrist gaitors like all the Eider jackets!
