Falling into Edelweiss' highest Perform 3 category, the Axis retains its durable reliability (with a low impact force to prove it) while maintaining a lighter weight than most 10.2mm ropes. Instead of the standard paired braiding, this rope's HD Cover braids each thread separately for an impressive edge-resistance as well as a smooth surface that glides through carabiners and around corners with ease. An EverDry water-resistant treatment helps the Axis stay strong if it starts to rain and you're halfway up a route.
