Like the Easton Havoc Stem, Easton's Havoc Bolt-On Stem is CNC milled from a solid block of metal and is a thing of beauty. Also, it's a thing of precise function, designed to sync happily with a triple-crown fork and steer World Champion racers to victory. No less importantly, it's designed to let you ride within the tape or out of bounds with more control and more safety.
The latter comes into play because Easton deploys Top Lock technology, which literally locks the face plate to the Havoc Bolt-On Stem so it cannot shift. Other designs that allow the face plate to float away from the stem allow minute vibrations, and at high speeds under heavy load forces (as in, every gravity ride during your average park visit), that puts direct stress on your bar. This system not only directly bolts the stem to your fork, but holds the bar solidly in place no matter what.
The Easton Havoc Bolt-On Stem is made of Easton CNC Aluminum. Depending on which of the three mounting hole options you use, the length is adjustable for 45, 50, and 55mm lengths. It has an oversize 31.8mm clamp diameters and a -5° rise. The bolt-on pattern fits the Fox 40, Manitou Dorado, and Rock Shox Boxxer. Color options include Gloss Black and Orange anodized.
