There is no better reason to switch to a tubeless tire than the frustration of having to change flats, and no better reason to get the Easton EA90 RT than its speed, cornering stability, confident flat protection, and exceptional durability. New for your 2012 season is the EA90 RT, with a generous 17.5mm internal width, which lets you run wider tires at more comfortable pressures on the roughest stretches of tarmac.

  • A proprietary rim design creates an airtight seal around your tubeless tire bead, even when inflated below 100 PSI
  • Sealed R4 hubs
  • Acoustically tuned in Easton's own factory, ensuring the wheels spin truer, longer

Tyres with EA90 GEN5 wheels ?

  • Familiarity:I've used it several times

I have ea90-rt GEN5 wheels.

I don't find in your FAQs which tyres are comptaible with this wheel ?

23x622, 25x622 or 28x622 ?

Many thanks

what tubeless tires can you recommend for these?

Hey Mishkin,

A lot of what tire will work best for you will be based on what kind of riding you will be doing. However you could pair this wheel with the Hutchinson Fusion 3 Road Tire. To check those out you can type the item #HUT0077 into the search key. Feel free to contact our gearheads using our live chat feature or by calling 800-409-4502.

Can you run regular clinchers with tubes...

Can you run regular clinchers with tubes on the EA90 RT? I saw a comment somewhere that the valves are not removable. I like the tubeless option, but I need a rim that can handle a traditional setup too.

Hey Tomtraubert,

Short answer, yes. You can definitely run a tube with these.

You'll be able to take the valve out of the rim and just use the tube as normal.
