Too Eazy!

These straps make setting up your hammock that much easier! I prefer these over the cordage that other companies provide. Setting up my hammock quicker, so I can start takin' her easy for you all you sinners.

Simple, easy, effective.

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I would absolutely recommend this purchase! The Eno slap straps are a simple, easy, and very easily portable system specifically made for your Eno. The slap straps have made hanging up my Eno for brief periods of time entirely worth it because of how easy it is.
I would suggest this purchase to anyone who wants to purchase a hammock.
easy to use
quick to set up and tear down.
while they will work in most conditions, you may find (depending on where you are) that the slap straps may not be long enough for the largest of trees.

Good, but not enough loops to be easy

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Great solution to dealing with the hassle of rope, but there aren't enough loops on them. It's kind of a pain to hang the hammock sometimes. I want to get atlas straps, but bc is out of stock.

They can go up anywhere

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I do like these straps. They are easy to use and can literally go anywhere. If you are planning on sitting in the hammock for any extended period of time, keep in mind that they do stretch. I slept in one while camping and woke up almost on the ground. Great for back packing though if you just want to sit for a bit.

A snap

These are great! They make setting up my hammock a snap and are as sturdy as can be. I forgot most of my Boy Scout knots years ago, anyway. Now I don't need them. definitely recommend.

must have

these are a must have for hammocking, easily sdjustable to different lengths. I prefer the pro version because they are a little longer but these work very effective as well!

These will do it, although the SlapStrap Pros are 4oz lighter. The trees and visitors of YNP thank you for your kind consideration.

Yea these will definately do the trick. Nylon webbing is super strong and the hammock will fall apart before these do.

Must Have!

You need this. Just get it. Take all of the aggravation of setting up your hammock.

Must have, yes

I have to agree with Eli, "must have" are the exact words that come to mind with this product. Your number one priority while setting up a hammock is to get your butt in there asap to let the relaxation begin. Throw these puppies around your nearest upright objects, hook them to your hammock of choice, and sit back while you watch your buddies trying to remember the knots they learned in boy scouts so they can set their hammocks up with silly ropes. My biggest tip would be to make sure everyone you are heading out with busy these, so that everyone can be in a good mood for the rest of the trip.

Must have

If you have a sweet outdoorsy hammock, you really need to have some slapstraps to compliment it. Went camping with a set of these bad boys and it took me less than two minutes to find a prime location and get my hammock set up. I then proceeded to spend 30 minutes trying to help my friend find a spot to set their hammock up without slapstraps, and when we finally settled on a spot, they had to deal with a big ol' pine branch in their personal bubble. Needless to say, they wished they had got a set of these. You should, too.

is there a weight rating for this? I have a double hammock and would like to know how much they can hold.

Each strap holds up to 200 pounds. I bought these to use with my double hammock and have not had any problems.

These things make setting up the hammock easy. I don't know what folks mean when they talk about a strap from a hammock hurting a tree. I haven't choked one to death yet. These straps are strong and make setting the hammock possible in some pretty hard spots. Love 'em, beats the mess out of trying to rig the hammock up with 550 cord. Ken

Sort of...

I use these for my Hennessy Hammock. They have a smaller width than the straps provided with my hammock, which causes me some concern about damaging trees (Hammocks are illegal at a bunch of CA National parks I visit because they damage trees). These straps do provide flexibility when hanging, are lightweight, and don't stretch when under tension. Excellent product, but a unnecessary luxury item for the lightweight backpacker.

Pretty basic item, but works like you'd want it to. There are plenty of loops to achieve whatever length you need. They pack pretty small and the included stuff sack is handy.

What is the difference between the SlapStrap and SlapStrap Pro?

It's a strap

Much easier to use this to hang the hammock from two trees, than to try and use ropes. Hammock isn’t hanging quite right? Very simple to adjust. Literally sets up in seconds. Holds tight too. You can be relaxing in no time at all.

SO sweet 55555

I've got this thing to sleep in or just to hang around in while everyone else is standing around or sitting on a tree stump.
If you're going to sleep in this, put a little pad down for some back support and much needed warmth. It can be pretty chilly if your sleeping bag isn't warm enough.

Grab the Eagles Nest Slap Straps too. It's a great thing to have.

You can adapt them to any hammock.

Seems like a stupid idea...

but it's not. the slap straps are really easy to use, and I have yet to come across a hammock situation where they didn't help make getting the hammock hung up (a very important, crucial thing after a long day on the trail)fast and easy. I left off the 5th star because they are kind of spendy for a few feet of webbing, and when they die, I'll probably rig something similar out of cord. The real ease of use here comes from the loops stitched into the webbing, and that is easily copied with rope. Still, slick product.
