    Hammock For All Occasions!

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

This hammock is so easy and rad. I have used this thing on Lightweight backpacking trips when I am not expecting any weather. It is an awesome substitute for a tent when you want to shave weight and carry less. I have rigged this up everywhere from a sunny beach in Thailand to the dusty playground of Burning Man. It never disappoints. The two person version is awesome. It has plenty of room for two people, one person and a dog, one person and your gear. Plenty of room for whatever you want to do.

    Lightweight and durable

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

This is a great hammock for any occasion - camping, hiking, backyard, and more. It's very quick to set up with your choice of straps. I went with the Kammok Python Straps which are some of the best ones out there - check them out. The hammock fits 2 but is definitely more comfortable with 1 person. It packs down pretty small - you can get it to around 6"x5"x3" by cranking down the strap. With all the cool colors to choose from I would definitely pick one of these up!

    Good for anywhere

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I received my eno and immediately put it to use. I have used others eno products before and have always had nothing but good things to say. I would advise picking up the Atlas straps for a super easy setup every single time.

Its Hammock Time All The Time!

This is Hammock is the bees knees hands down. I got this for my wife for Mothers Day and she is in it everyday! It is super durable and can hold the two of us really well. It also works well to get our little one down for a nap, better than any baby swing out there. Since we have had it, it comes with everywhere a great piece of gear to add to your collection!

    Never leave without it

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

The ENO DoubleNest is one of my favorite pieces of gear to bring on any trip. Whether I'm going climbing, hiking, or camping the DoubleNest is always with me. It's incredibly simple to set up and very comfortable for relaxing after any activity. That being said, I wouldn't recommend sleeping in it unless the hanging point are perfect. I've slept in it before and found that I was never able to stretch out well enough to not be in an awkward position with my back. If you still want to sleep in it, then have at it, but do be aware that the airflow can make any night into a cold one! At the end of the day, this is one of the best investments I have ever made. I did buy some extra webbing to extend the tree-wraps so that I would never be stuck without a place to hang it. I would recommend doing that. If you're on the fence, just snag yourself one and you won't regret it!

Never enough Hammock camping in my life

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I seriously love my ENO Double Nest. Its my preferred way to sleep when I'm camping and slept in it most night when I was working as a white water raft guide. I just use webbing and caribeners to set it up, but the ENO straps would probably be easier.

    Pros:
-Way durable. Have put some serious use in with this, especially in the PNW. I'll bring it along in the desert too for something to throw my sleeping pad on so its protected from the pricklys on the ground.
-Having an inflatable air pad is the best way to give a bit of rigidity to sleep in this. I've slept in it without one and its fine, but definitely not ideal.
-Its possible to fit two to sleep in here, I've done it, but just get your own. Way more comfortable.
-Packs into itself and is very small. Smaller than a tent.

    Cons:
-When its hung up, theres a center "line" that is tighter across in the middle that can be somewhat uncomfortable. Best to angle yourself a bit and solves the issue.
-Material will heat up the air inside in direct sunlight. Afternoon naps can get a bit stuffy.
-If you're planning on sleeping in it, air flow below can make for a cold night if you don't have a sleeping pad or decent sleeping bag.

Overall, if you haven't bought one by the time that you've read this review, you're not living life to the fullest. I'm planning on buying the "correct" straps and a rain cover for more trips this summer, i'll report back after that.

Never enough Hammock camping in my life

    FUN!

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I love this hammock. I wanted to get one for a long time but I wanted to make sure that it could hold two people comfortably! This one did the trick. The colors are fun and most of all it is really easy to pack in and out of the bag it comes with.

    FUN!

    Nice in the mountains

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

After 2 years of use it still looks like new. Makes for a great nights sleep after hiking all day. You can use it like a chair if you sit to one side. I use a pad so the sides don't close and squeeze my shoulders. Stuff sack made into it is nice. Nothing to loose and makes a good spot to hold my phone or snacks while relaxing.
If you want something lightweight to relax or sleep in. Then this will do the job.

Double the nest, double the fun!

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Welcome to hammocking in style. this is a heavy duty way to swing with style. This is a quality company and a great construction. Bring a friend, this puppy can handle it.

great for sleeping, full coverage when you are tall like me and want to lay "flat."

Exactly what you are looking for

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Im a pretty tall guy at 6'4 but the hammock still has plenty of room. The material feels really solid and my last one (stolen :( ) help up to years of abuse. Excited to replace it with another one of these guys. They are perfect for any time you are lounging near trees!

Keep it in my car for any adventure!

I am a firm believer that everyone should own one of these. (I actually bought four different people their own for Christmas gifts) The double nest is definitely the way to go, even for just one person. I've taken mine just about everywhere and the quality has lasted wonderfully. I regularly bring my dog along and have yet to find any scratches or tears from her nails. I don't know what it is about hammocks, but every nap I take in it seems to be the best nap of my life! Do not hesitate to buy!!

As a side note, the straps come separately. I would definitely recommend the atlas straps versus the slap strap pro. The atlas straps have many more loops in them that makes it so much more versatile than any other strap out there.

Does this come with any bug protection? What I mean is if you have 2 people, is there any extra material that can you fold over the outer end of it to protect against bugs?

      Does this come with straps?

When will you get more doublenest hammocks in?

Does this hammock sleep two well or is it just comfy for one person? Would like to sleep in this with my girlfriend but don't want us to have to sleep on top of each other.

      Best Answer

Though fine for midday cuddling, I do not enjoy sharing my hammock for any longer than the length of a nap. If you are looking to use the double as a nighttime home for you and your loved one, I would personally advise against it having tried this in the past. I would opt for two double nests, and hang yours above or below hers for overall comfort.

      Hey Timothy,

Both of those hammocks are very similar, and speaking from personal experience I suggest this hammock, but only because I have used ENO hammocks before. They are extremely durable, pack away easily and come in a bunch of sweet colorways!

If you are having a really hard time deciding, I suggest finding an outdoor retail store that carries them and checking them out in person before purchasing.

      Hey Timothy,

I already answered this question for you on the Grand Trunk Double Parachute Hammock and just wanted to reiterate here that the Grand Trunk is a little longer and this ENO is a little wider. Besides that you shouldn't notice any differences. I also wanted to back Carver up in that I have this ENO hammock and have had plenty of good nights sleep hanging between trees in this product.

Whichever you decide to go with I think you would be happy with. This is one of the few times I will say there is no reason why you shouldn't go with the only you think looks better.

I see that you've asked this about all of the ENO hammocks, and the answer is that none of them do. From the FAQ page on the ENO site: "Your hammock will come with two 5/16'' carabiners on the ends that you can use to attach to whatever strapping or connecting device (ropes, webbing, ect.) for the objects you are using as your mounting points."

These carabiners are heavy, crappy steel.

My recommendation would be to get 20ft of 3/4" tubular nylon climbing webbing, as well as 2 C.A.M.P. nano 23 carabiners. This will give you an easy to set up and take down system that is fairly cheap, fairly light, and has a very low impact on the bark of the trees you wrap the webbing around. Webbing can be easily tied with an overhand on a bight.

ENO does make "slap straps" which work to quickly set up hammocks as well, but they are much more expensive and less versatile than making your own.

      Straight from the source:

"Our hammocks are machine washable. We suggest you use a mild detergent and just hang it up to dry. Treat all other ENO products like you would a tent or similar camping gear-wash only when absolutely necessary and by hand."
