A hanging love nest for a couple that wants to travel light or take righteous naps in the backcountry.

Great Hammock, However, food for thought
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
Bought this as a OneLink set up and love the company, but I am a newbie hammock camper. I thought that bigger was better as I am 6'1" and about 240. It has more than enough room for just me, but way to much extra fabric around the edges, yes even with canted 45 degrees. There is a lot of material that flops over into your face. I will use this as a day hike hammock for two as it is perfect for that. I have since bought a Double Nest and that should be just about perfect.
More than enough room for two.. or one..
Enough fabric for one or two people to sprawl out comfortably and take a nap. Great product, light weight, easy to carry, and works perfectly with the ENO straps sole separately. Can use it with any 2 trees.
ENO Hammock and Hammock Size
- Gender: Male
- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
I currently own a double deluxe hammock but traded up from a double nester and have sampled the single nest as well. I am a bigger guy at 6'2" 250lbs, the double nest was by far my favorite. I like the deluxe but I feel that there is too much fabric just hangin out. The double nest had the best wrap around feel with no wasted material but still plenty to do a full wrap even with a sleeping bag.
Outside of size the hammock works great once you figure out how you like to hang. Only con is hot embers from fires easily melt through hammock so keep away from flames. Other than that I love the ENO hammock!
Is this 20 inches longer or 20 inches wider...
Is this 20 inches longer or 20 inches wider than the regular double?
It is double wide so you can lay side by side. So the bed length is like 9' long and the width is 9'4" or so.
I got this a month or two ago and have loved it. It fits two comfortably and is great for both camping and just hanging in the backyard. It may a little hard to setup if you don't know your knots, but if you do it's easiest to setup with static cord or webbing. If not, get the slap straps. I highly recommend this if you're going camping so you have a place to relax, and also so that when you're at home and wiped from your week of camping you have a spot to chillax.
What is the difference between this and...
What is the difference between this and the double nest from ENO? What makes this Deluxe?
the Double Deluxe is 20inches longer and weighs 7oz more than the Double Nest.
Does this one realistically sleep two...
Does this one realistically sleep two through a night? Would it be comfortable for a couple who needs a little movement but not much as we are big cuddlers/spooners anyway? Thanks!!
hammocks are notorious for not being good for more than one... even the most enthusiastic spooner will get tired of having another persons elbow jammed into them because of the hammocks curvature. these packable hammocks are great, for one. i wouldnt bank on a long nights sleep. mostly because they only attach at one anchor point.
if you dont need it to be travel friendly i would get a rope/cloth hammock with a spreader.....this is the wooden piece where the rope is threaded through, which makes it so each side of the hammock are not forced together due the the weight in the middle
I disagree with Stuart up there. I've had a great nights sleep in one of these with another person and I have couple friends who slept through a night with three in one. If you guys are cuddlers you won't have a problem at all. Especially after a few beers ;)
