The Eagle Creek ORV Gear Bag is a customizable duffel you can use to carry your climbing gear, snorkeling equipment, or random ski stuff. The ORV Gear Bag's interior has collapsible divider panels that let you organize and re-organize your gear as your kit changes. You can also integrate Eagle Creek's Mud, Gear, and Drop Boxes. Padded sides and bottom protect your stuff and give the ORV structure so you can pack quickly. A three-way carry system lets you use this gear bag as a backpack, duffel, or shoulder bag.

I love this bag. I use it as a carry on, so that I don't have to check any luggage. I even brought it on a 2 week trip to visit family on the East Coast without checked luggage and it was perfect. It seems to be very well made and is wonderfully designed. The zip up internal dividers are great and stow away back pack straps are amazingly comfortable. I also own a North Face base camp duffel, and I reach for the Eagle Creek every time. It's not waterproof like TNF duffel, but everything else about it seems better designed.
Though the bag is technically bigger than the allowed carry-on size, I have never had problems with it fitting in overhead compartment (even on small, connection jets)
Every single time I use it, I think to myself "God, I'm so glad I bought this thing." Seriously, every time.

Write your question here...The dimensions for this bag are just a tad bigger than what SWA or Continental allows for carryon. Has anyone used this as carryon with either of those airlines?

This bag looks great but is there any similar product out there with same features but thats lighter than this one? 1.4kgs is alot when you're limited to 15kg!
