Eagle Creek FTW

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

When I first began looking for my travel backpack, I knew I wanted one that had full front opening capabilities. Who likes to dig all the way to the bottom of a bag just to find that last clean pair of underwear? (ESPECIALLY if you just packed it to perfection). I knew I needed a hip belt. I am slight of build and need to keep that weight OFF my shoulders if I'm going to make it to the top of Mt Fuji without dying. And I knew I wanted it to be a simple, aesthetically pleasing design. (Hooray for Ochre!)

This backpack offers all of those features - and more. It has interlocking zippers, a sternum belt + whistle, and a padded laptop section to keep your stuff safe while you're climbing to remote villages or trekking through crowded city streets.

What I wish Eagle Creek would add to this design: bottle carrier for the sides + id pouch on the hip belt.

I also discovered that this beast holds an ENORMOUS amount of clothes and things. If you're looking to travel light, it might serve you better to find a smaller backpack with similar features.

DigiHauler in "Japanaction"

I took my Eagle Creek DigiHauler Backpack on a two week long trip throughout Japan. It was totally up for the adventure. Here we are, Digi and I, petting deer on the island of Miyajima, just meters away from the scenic Floating Shrine.

Great Bag

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Overall very well made backpack. The zippers even have holes that you can attach a lock to. Back straps come out if you want them in go back in if you want to put it over your shoulder. Doesn't come with shoulder strap. Great bag

Awesome carry on

So far I've only used this pack once as a carry on but it was amazing, I took it to the Bahamas and once i got there i empty the clothing i had in there and used it as a backpack while walking around, it had enough space i didn't even know what to do with i was really happy with this purchase i can't wait to go on another trip so i can use it again.
