The Eagle Creek Comfort Pillow is an inflatable travel pillow that uses state-of-the-art technology in the valve system to make inflation and deflation a breeze. The revolutionary On Air Valve System allows the pillow to be inflated in as little as two breaths and to deflate in seconds. The microfleece cover provides a soft cushion around the neck, and the cover is removable and washable. The Eagle Creek Comfort Pillow's firmness adjusts with the touch of a button and, when deflated, folds into itself for easy storage.
Bottom Line: During that long car, train, or airplane ride, use the Eagle Creek Comfort Pillow and arrive well rested.
***Reason I bought It I have never been a fan of stuffing a bunch of pillows in a stuff sack and using it as a pillow. I know that it is the backcountry and a night of sleep out there is not going to be perfect, but a good pillow will go a long way for me.
***Weight The weight is good. For me I can justify it because I use it with the therm-a-rest z-lite so I can spare a few more ounces in my sleep system.
***Price I think it is worth it, but if you can find it for about $15 it would be a great value.
***Build Quality This thing really feels solid. The one way valve is amazing. You just breath almost once into it and it is inflated and the valve locks it off so that air does not escape it. Then, you just push the button and in a split second its deflated. This is an awesome design. It feels solid like it is going to last a long time.
***Sleeping My intent was not to sit upright and sleep - I wanted to lay down and sleep. When I bought this I had no idea if it was going to work for that. Basically what I do is have it about halfway inflated and put it slightly around my neck at an angle more like a traditional pillow. It works great.
Quality -- very nice. I had concerns about "sweating" because of several other comments, but sweating was minimal on our very cool Air New Zealand flight. The pillow felt soft against my skin, and was VERY easy to blow up -- two to three breaths -- and to deflate -- just push in the black air lock, squeeze the pillow and, swoosh, it's deflated. I also like that you can wash the covers when needed. So despite the fact that I believe this to be a very high quality product, it still didn't help me sleep sitting up. But I don't think any pillow could do that! If neck pillows work for you, then I recommend this product.

Working in Mexico for a month. Traveling once and sometimes twice per week all over the country - this pillow works well on a plane, bus or van. Blows up i three puffs and comes down just as quickly. It can be a little warm....only a slight drawback.
I got the pillow because I was taking the red-eye bus trip cross-country, and it works as advertised. It inflates easily on three breaths, deflates with minimal effort, but getting it folded up so that it fit into its built-in storage pocket? No instructions included. I would have liked at least a one-page sheet on that. But it works: I recommend it if you've want to get some sleep somewhere sitting up.
The pillow has an obvious "top" and "bottom", the "top" side being noted by the presence of the small Eagle Creek logo. On the "bottom" side (which rests against your chest when you wear it around your neck) is a large black flip-lid the size of a half dollar coin. You pull the flip-lid open and simply blow into the pillow two or three times to inflate it; a one-way rubber flap prevents the air from escaping, and the flip lid closes shut over it to complete the seal. To deflate the pillow, open the flip lid and push a finger against the flap to let the air out, massaging the pillow to get it all out.
As with any device, some compromises must be accepted. The quick inflation feature is well executed and is a pleasure to have. The outer covering is soft and bulletproof, yet does not breath well and causes some sweating. If you need portability and are space critical like I am, this is a great pillow. If a little sweat is unacceptable, use a bulkier traditional cotton setup. Hence, the compromise. Also, it makes a great cushion for 2 portable hard drives, while I'm working overseas. I carry it in my computer bag while in-country, just tuck them in with the pillow deflated.
First travel pillow I have ever used. Usually try to book the window seat where I can put my head down in the window well. But then I have to wake up the person next to me when I go to the bathroom. This time with my new Eagle Creek pillow I booked the aisle seat on the five hour flight to Hawaii and back. The pillow is everything you advertised: quick inflation and deflation, fits into my carryon tote. I slept for hours in comfort and arrived refreshed (and could go to the bathroom at will from my aisle seat.) This is great. Love this pillow.
I just did an 18 hour flight each way to Asia and this pillow was my savior! I had another that was inflatable, but had the old style inflator and took forever to blow up. This one inflated with two breaths and the outer covering was super soft. Took multiple naps and never a neck cramp when I woke up. Would highly recommend it.
PROS: The pillow appears well made and the mechanism for blowing up the pillow and deflating it works really well. I'm really impressed by the design. The covering is soft and comfortable. CONS: This was my first try of one of those around-the-neck pillows and although I would use it again, it still wasn't all that comfortable, especially in the back of the neck. The cover material also causes you to get a little bit sweaty, but not too bad.
I have seen people with these pillows, but they didn't look comfortable. I was wrong! These things work great, and let me sleep comfortably for several hours on a recent flight to Europe. I was impressed and would highly recommend this product.
Got 2 of these pillows, one for me and one for my boy. Worked great on the red eye! Everyone came walking up the the gate in the airport with their neck pillows in hand and ours was packed away all nice and neat. When it came time to sleep 2 breaths of air filled it right up, can be done with one BIG puff though. Slept great, well as good as you can sitting up. They deflated and folded up for easy storage. The covers are washable too! They have been used lots over the summer with plane rides and car rides. Don't leave home without it!
Good product, its easy to inflate and has a little pocket on it which held my iPod nicely. My only complaint was it made my neck a little hot after awhile.
