If the most important characteristic of your favorite all-mountain twin-tip is "noodle," the Dynastar Distorter Ski is definitely not for you. However, if you like to go fast, float off lips, and slay the whole mountain on a stable, poppy platform, this full wood core ski will provide you with unmatched versatility and fun.
At the heart of the Distorter is the Wood Fiber core with Spring Blade technology, which employs a core constructed of multiple wood layers bonded with stacked fiberglass of varying lengths that's thicker under the bindings. This gives the ski a strong pop and also provides excellent shock absorption on landings. Twin-tip rocker profile uses a long rocker in the tip and tail for extra float, with camber underfoot and vertical sidewall construction to give the skis strong edge grip once you get back on the groomers. The 87mm waist width is narrow enough to help this ski remain stable on harder snow while still being wide enough to keep from diving while you thunder through the chunder, and a generous 22m turn radius means this ski likes to make long, high-speed turns. As you destroy everything from park laps to big-mountain lines, it will be obvious that everything you used to think about all-mountain twin tips has been distorted.
