    Built for big mountain lines.

Standing at the pinnacle of technical outerwear, the Dynafit Men's Yotei Gore-Tex Jacket was designed and developed by and for those who push the limits of freeride backcountry shredding in big mountain terrain. Whether you're heli skiing in Haines, Alaska or doing some touring in the Wasatch, the fully seam-taped Yotei has a three-layer Gore-Tex membrane for waterproof, breathable winter protection that excels in fast, repetitive transitions between steep ski tracks and deep snow descents.

Articulated sleeves provide unimpeded mobility if you find yourself rolling down the windows on a bigger-than-you-thought cliff, while the removable powder skirt keeps snow from sneaking in when you bomb out the landing. The underarm ventilation zips let you dump excess heat on the trek up, then the roomy chest pockets accommodate your skins for safe storage before dropping in. The adjustable sleeve cuffs come in handy for extra protection against increasingly hostile winds, and when the day is over the Yotei can be stowed away in its own hood.

    Great Lightweight Option

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: Runs large
    • Size Bought: Small

This jacket is a great Gore-Pro option for lightweight touring. The articulation and fit is executed exactly as I would desire and the construction is minimal on pocket and zipper usage to get you where you're going without the excess packing weight.

The two skin chest pockets are generous in size and work great for the intended purpose, but tend to be over sized when used for anything else.

I also noticed the sizing ran a bit large, not what I would have expected from Dynafit, but still worked great for me.

If you've got questions about this jacket, definitely contact me.

I've been using this jacket between the resort and in the backcountry. It's been pretty great.

The Gore-Tex C Knit has been pretty good so far. The breathability hasn't been an issue, so I'd say since I don't really notice anything that it's working pretty well.

I'd peg this to fit like more Euro brands as I'm normally a Medium in American brands and a Large in Euro brands. The chest measurements for the Large are pretty spot on. The waist measurements seem off. I'm a 33" waist and the Large waist seems totally fine.

The two chest pockets are clutch. I store my goggles in one and my gloves in the other when heading up the tram or when they need to be stored in an easily accessible spot. Inside the main left chest pocket is another smaller pocket. Nicely for smaller items. Then there is a left bicep pocket where I store my RFID pass.

Starting the main zipper at the bottom is a bit of a PITA but once it goes then it is good.

    Wrist Gaiters:
These are nice but I don't use them a ton as my gloves are a bit tighter and it's not fun having both the gaiters and gloves on at the same time. Maybe with a different pair of gloves.

Helmet compatible and real adjustable. Nice for tightening the hood when skinning up in rough conditions.

All-in-all it's a pretty rad jacket that performs great.

If you've got questions about this jacket and the bibs, let me know I'll gladly help you out.

    Does it all!

I recently brought this jacket to Antarctica for 2 weeks of ski touring. During that time I encountered every type of weather you can imagine. From full on blizzards to 6000 vert tours under the scorching sun this was the only jacket I needed to stay warm and dry or just be protected from the wind. Completely waterproof but breathes well and is lightweight. The fit is perfect and I would highly recommend this jacket to anyone who participates in outdoor activities!

Sick jacket for touring and resort

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

As a skier on a budget, I want to invest in ONE jacket that can do it all- from hucking off a 14er here in CO to Sundays hanging in the lot at A-basin. This is that jacket. With it's ultra durable 3L Gore-Tex, this jacket has been awesome so far in the early season. It has a modern, freeride fit (loose) but still keeps it's heritage in a being a slightly tailored jacket from a European brand. This is totally on trend to match how skiers want to tour and feel: freedom of movement and look great while crushing. The color is on point, and as the previous reviewer mentioned is slightly darker. I can't wait to take this jacket big mountain touring and heli skiing this winter in Canada! At $599 bucks, this jacket is a total investment.

Blue Tone is a little darker

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: True to size

The Blue isn't as soft as it appears in the product photo. It is a little darker as can be seen in the "Connections" film Trailer below.

This jacket is designed to have a looser fit, more of a free ride cut without being a super baggy fit. It is designed for an active user with its focus on breathability and ability to tour.
