Freeride performance with uphill DNA.

Dynafit's always been know for super-light boots that crush the skin track, but it has stepped up its downhill game in recent years, without sacrificing the touring performance that made it famous. Crowning the freeride-oriented end of its line is the Mercury TF Women's Alpine Touring Boot, a softer and lower-profile version of the men's Mercury, designed to drive freeride skis in any terrain without turning the skinner into a slog-fest.

Downhill performance is definitely the Mercury's calling card. It sports a stiff Grilamid shell with fiberglass and Pebax reinforcements in the upper cuff and spoiler, so you won't overwhelm it when powering through aggressive turns or sending big airs, and a Downhill Booster Tongue that's removable so you can customize the Mercury's stiffness as needed. The 45-degree instep buckle is designed to eliminate heel movement by pulling your foot directly into the heel pocket, giving you excellent control and power transmission for those no-fall zones. And, like a full-fledged alpine boot, the Mercury has a large power strap to give you any extra juice you might need.

Although it's a downhill beast, the Mercury, like all Dynafit boots, has uphill performance in its DNA. It starts with the ONE TF Universal liner, which wicks moisture from your feet, helping to eliminate the slipping and blisters caused by wet socks. It comes with the option of a lace closure, too, if you feel the need to tighten it up under the shell. To engage walk mode, simply unhook the Ultra-Lock top buckle and glide uphill thanks to the Mercury's 60-degree cuff rotation, which is only two degrees less than Dynafit's ski-running champion the Dy.N.A. Evo. The lean mode is adjustable from 15 to 18 degrees with the flip of the Ultra Lock's catch to let you customize your stance, and the sole, as you'd expect, is a grippy rubber Dynafit Pro construction.
