I was excited to get this pack as I like to be organized and have a place for everything. My only use is for this pack is backcountry skiing, either day trips or Euro style hut to hut. This pack attempts to be all that, but goes too far. I found it overly complicated, with too many features in its attempt to do it all. It really would require an instruction manual which was not provided and shouldn't be needed anyway.
The Mammut Respect is better designed, simpler, and keeps your gear separate and organized. Very well constructed, hangs well, carries skis well, etc. Highly recommended.

This is the best diagonal ski carry system on the market. I can secure my skis to the pack and remove them again without taking the pack off. Nice size for day trips and its very comfortable while skiing. Build quality is excellent. The only nitpick I have is it doesn't have an obvious place to secure a helmet. Awesome ski pack for sure!

I got this pack because it is light for it's capacity.
I really like the crampon compartment: I'm a Wilderness 1st Responder and it holds my rather bulky 1st Aid supplies plus spare gloves and gear repair kit.
I can actually carry my Dynafit Manaslu skis on this pack with comfort (I haven't been able to carry skis comfortably for a while with my Arcteryx Khamski or my Dana Bombpack [bad back]). It fits close to the body well. I like the shovel pocket and I use the ice axe tube for my shovel handle. The probe pocket is nice. Opening from the back panel is really nice.
suggested improvements (1) move the waistbelt buckle to the right side; (2) put a key loop in the top pocket. (3) include an instruction manual :-)
