A highly evolved rando machine.

Your mantel is looking pretty bare with only three rando trophies on it, so it's time to upgrade to the Dynafit DY.N.A. Evo Ski Boot, which will help you redecorate your shelves with medals and podium pictures. The DY.N.A. isn't for most people, but if you're all about speed on the way up, it's probably right up your alley. Made from a blend of stiff and lightweight Grilamid, Pebax, and carbon fiber, it checks in at around 1.5 pounds per boot, which might just be lighter than the flip flops you're wearing as you read this. The DY.N.A. has been around in one form or another since 2009, but this year it received a new Custom Light liner, which fits like a sock and provides unrivaled precision and comfort, so your foot will be cradled on the ascent and your skis sensitive on the way down. Despite its lightness, the Custom Light is surprisingly warm, too, so you don't have to worry about your toes freezing solid while you're skiing towards the finish.

Lightness alone doesn't make a boot climb well, though, so Dynafit made sure the DY.N.A has the best ski/hike mode available. The Ultra-Lock 1.0 system features a cuff buckle that doubles as a ski/hike lever, so with one flick you're either in ski mode or climb mode. When the buckle's closed, it works in concert with the Driving Spoiler 2.0 to lock the cuff down for a solid downhill feel, and the spoiler slides smoothly against the shell when the buckle is open, so you can use every one of the 62 degrees of cuff rotation. The EVO Race 2.0 sole is the shortest and most rockered sole on the market, so it's incredibly efficient, and the DY.N.A's Quick Step-In Tech inserts make it easy to get tech bindings on, even in deeper snow.
