Can someone please post a picture of the crampon attached to the binding and perhaps also of the crampon/binding/boot all together?
Thanks in advance!

Is it ok to use 110 mm crampons on 88 mm skis? I'd like to buy one crampon for use on multiple skis if possible.

Responded on

You shouldn't do that. Have two specific crampons or else the big crampons on the small skis will over flex and could easily bend or break.

Good

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

These have worked fine -- I'm not sure there's an alternative for Dynafit? -- the few times I have used them. The mid-heel riser will really only work well with these; the highest setting won't really work with these. When you're barely clinging to the side of an icy peak and you still have your skis on your feet, not being in the highest setting won't be the first thing on your mind ... being able to keep your skis on your feet will.

I use the 120mm for a 108 underfoot ski.

Simple but solid

These Crampons are a great design minimal is the name of the game in my opinion therelittle to no setup they just clip in to the bindings and your ready to rock. Come with a carrying pouch to keep things organized. Mybro was very happy with them thus far.

Modification suggestion

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

The Dynafit ski crampon works well, and they are as light as any ski crampon I've seen out there.

However, I strongly recommend modifying them for best use. Unmodified, the crampon only fully bites down when in zero rise walk mode, and by the time you get to high rise you have lost almost all bite in the crampon. I would suggest adding a spacer on top of the two pre-drilled holes. I use a piece of plexi glass or any kind of plastic about an inch thick and just attach with screws or bolts. This way you can get more bite from the crampon when you are in rise mode.

See example below:
