    A tour-worthy performance.

Dynafit designed the Men's Chugach Windstopper Softshell Pant for everything involved with touring, from skinning up to skiing down. Gore Windstopper equips this three-layer softshell with stretchy mobility, extreme breathability, and windproof protection for bone-chilling breezes. Dynafit taped the Chugach's seams to prevent snow from seeping through when you ski through big powder stashes.

The Chugach Windstopper Pant also features long zippers on each thigh for ventilated airflow. Gaiters keep snow out of your boots, and zippered cuffs offer easy access to the gaiters. There are adjustments at the waist and each cuff for a secure fit, and Dynafit reinforced the pant's cuffs for long-lasting durability. There are three zippered pockets to secure your valuables.

    Comfortable.

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: Runs large
    • Size Bought: Small

Sometimes it's nice to wear pants that are soft and quiet. Personally, I have a hard time getting away from Gore-tex Pro pants. My legs are always in the snow, so I like truly waterproof pants. The Chugach Pants are my exception. Windstopper is an awesome material, which is actually very water resistant. If it's not puking, these pants are great because they are so comfortable.

The pockets are well thought out and placed well. The vents are great. The waist works very well with a pack.

They run big. I wear a 30/30 pant. The small Chugach pant would fit 32/32 piece of cake. Luckily the cinch system on the waist works well and I can use these pants without a belt.

    Great Touring Pant

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: large

I am 5'8" 200lbs with a 34" waist, large fits me perfect. They are tight in the thighs, cuffs fit over the boots, and the waist holds up without a belt. They did not come with suspenders so I will probably add those because I really like them.

It was 22 degrees Fahrenheit yesterday with the cold and snow blowing pretty hard. With a light base layer I was completely comfortable on the way up in these pants. On the way down I could feel the chill but, right when you start going back up the heat comes back pretty quick. The fabric is incredibly breathable which I love. Though it breathes the Windstopper is apparent, couldnt really feel the coldness from the wind hit my legs until I was going downhill.

I like that the pants really stretch. Makes them usable on colder alpine climbs and compliments a tighter fit. The stretch also adds a layer of durability instead of a straight tear, the fabric has some give so that you can break free of a stick for instance.

The front thigh pocket is awesome. You can keep the phone or camera in there when touring. The heat from your legs keeps the battery somewhat warmer and its way easier to grab for the shot than inside a coat pocket. Wont purchase another pair of pants without that pocket, loved that.

Awesome pair of pants from Dynafit, love that they have the complimentary jacket with colors to match! As much as we all might say colors dont matter, its a nice touch.

5'8" 200 lbs 34" waist and the Large fits me perfect. Tight in the thighs which is nice, waist stays up on me without a belt, and the lower cuff fits over my ski boots without a hassle. Probably will still use an old pair of suspenders because I love suspenders.

Yesterday it was 22 degrees Fahrenheit with a lot of wind and snow on the ridge. I wore these over a mid-weight base layer, and they were warm as long as I stayed moving. I really appreciate how well the fabric breathes and still has the ability to block wind. This means that when standing around you get cold pretty quick though. Never felt my legs or feet get sweaty, nor really cold, was completely comfortable while touring. On the ski down I was a bit chilled but, I dont think I had on an appropriate base layer for the days conditions. With something this breathable might want to think about beefing up the base layer a bit, or commit to moving faster.

Pants have an awesome jacket to compliment them. Both have the same really stretchy fabric which is awesome and compliments that tighter fit but, you still get complete range of movement. The stretch also adds an element of durability, instead of a straight tear, the fabric has some give so that you can break free of a stick for instance. Really psyched to wear these climbing in colder climates as well as ski touring in them. The cuff is bomb proof, will be really tough to tear those.

Never had a pair of ski pants with the top of the thigh pocket. Love that thing. Perfect place for my phone or camera. The warmth of my legs kept the battery warmer and its really easy to get it out and take a picture. Wont purchase another pair of ski oriented pants without that pocket.

Love that Dynafit has the jacket to compliment the pant, with colors too! As much as we might not want to admit that, its a nice touch.
