This hat is so soft and so toasty you won't want to take it off. Simply put, the best hat I own. Bought another one for assurance I don't get skunked and shut out on a replacement !!

Great hat! Warm, soft, attractive. Do not wash by hand!! Washed hat as gently as possible but hasn't been the same. The yarn is matted now, not fluffy anymore and shrunk a little eventhough was stretched a ton. Had to order another, actually ordered 2 just in case. Had to have the original feel....

as others have said, its very light weight and fits my 7-5/8 head perfectly. its not too deep but covers my ears nicely, doesnt feel scratchy at all.

I was apprehensive to purchase this beanie, since I thought it wouldn't hold up to sub-freezing temperatures, and I thought the fabric would be irritating. Both presumptions were completely wrong! This is *the* most comfortable beanie I've ever worn, and has kept me nice and toasty in teen and single digit temps! Buy buy buy!

Handmade, wheel-spun wool hat. Thought it was a bit lightweight, but I used it outside in 36 degree weather for several hours and is perfect. I have a mega-melon head, (7-7/8) and it fit well, but wouldn't recommend for any larger (like Frankenstein, for example). I got the coffee bean color, looks nice. I would buy another one if I lose/shred this one.
