Description

Dial your edge tuning with the Toko DMT Diamond File.

The Toko DMT Diamond File is the final step in tuning your edges. It's also effective for a de-burring job after using a machine or stone grinder. The Toko DMT Diamond File is designed to fit into Toko edging fixtures as well, so you can upgrade your existing pro setup. Sharp edges are your friends out on the hardpack, so make sure your tuning is diamond quality. The course file quickly removes any edge burrs from skiing over rocks and the fine file works better with Toko tools for sharpening your edges.

Got the fine (red) to deburr the tail and tip. Works well, feels good size is not an issue for me. I only use to deburr. Would recomend to anyone.

I got the coarse file mainly for removing burrs and things of that nature. It does a fine job at it. A slightly larger file would be nice, but It does it's job well nontheless.

I got a set a couple of years ago and started working on my edges. I also started quizzing the guys at the ski shop on tuning techniques. Total disclosure: Nobody is going to pay money to have me touch the edges of their stick, but I certainly notice the difference when I clean up my own edges.

What's the preference between fine and course?

If this is your only stone, I suggest the "course". The "fine" is better for fine tuning previous grinds.

This is a must-have item for repairing rock damage to your edges, both smoothing out nasty burs, and also roughing up case-hardened edge segments that your tuning file just skips over.
