Yeah, I've played with one in a store, it was kind of a pain, as you can't close the gate without locking the sleeve. The result of this is that you must lock and unlock the carabiner EVERY TIME you put it on your gear loops.

Also, who wants a Steel belay device?

Get a BD Gridlock and ATC/ATCXP instead.

I think this is actually three pieces. The biner, clip and belay device. The master clip is $8.50 and the belay device is $25.95. The Fatboy HMS (which i think is the biner that comes with the set) is $13.95 which makes buying all three $50. So the set is $4-$5 cheaper.
