DMM Revolver Locking Carabiners - 2008 BCS

I have used the revolver in a tree climbing application as a cambium saver/ rope redirect. Girth hitching two revolvers with a spectra runner and tying a small shackle to the runner with some 3 mm line, they make a very nice redirect/ cambium saver that is removable. This review will make no sense to you unless you are a tree climber. Very nice piece of kit

I use it for top roping as well. Takes the friction and a little stress off the rope. It is more compact than I expected and a little tight for anchoring to multiple or thicker webbing. Great otherwise!

I've been using the non-locking Revolver since last fall. I had been waiting all spring for the lockable version. I use it for most of my anchor/toprope setups it works well. It reduces rope drag and seems to be much better for my rope. Rather than putting groves in my biners, this allows the rope to slip through with very little friction. Great product. I've also talked with folks that use it in a pulley system. I can't comment on that from my own perspective, but they said that they love it.
