Where do you store the sun cover when not in use? The deuter website states that there is storage for the optional sun cover on the kid comfort 2 but does not specify where.

The Kid Comfort II has a sleeve located between the top and bottom rear pockets, (It's hidden under the flap and closed with velcro.) that the top of the sun roof slides up into. The sun roof legs are then secured to the frame under the velcro tabs.

Yes, the Sun Roof with Rain Cover will work with the Kid Aircomfort as well as the Kid Comfort I and II. (The Kid Comfort III has a built in Sun Roof) Also available is the KC Rain Cover which works with the Sun Roof to provide rain and wind protection for your childs legs!

come further out at the front. Simply due to when my boy falls asleep in the Deuter Kid Carrier, the canopy doesn't fully cover his head. Otherwise, a great rain/sun cover.

Makes sunny days comfortable! Great for street festivals and sunny hikes, rain cover a bit stiffling for summer heat.

I really like the Deuter Kid Comfort carrier that I bought this cover for, but I don't the cover nearly as much. I love the fit and how easy it is to put on, but it does not block the sun enough for my liking. Maybe this has to do with my baby being pretty young and sitting kind of low, but sun seems to hit his face unless the sun is directly over head or behind us. It could be user error, but it is better then nothing especially for the price.
