That remote couloir you've been dreaming of putting tracks in isn't going to ski itself, so load up the Deuter Rise Pro 34 Plus Backpack and get after it. The Rise Pro carries everything you need to ski the line of your dreams safely, and does so comfortably with Deuter's Alpine Back System, which, along with crossed aluminum stays, a Delrin U-frame, a pivoting hip belt, and a padded back panel, provides killer support and comfort under heavy loads. A large main compartment secures all of the big stuff—sleeping bags, jackets, water, and food—while a front shovel/probe compartment grants easy access to avy gear. The front of the Rise Pro will carry either a snowboard or skis vertically, while multiple gear loops secure both ice axes, rope, and ski poles when you're descending or going hands free. When it's time to post up and re-asses the game plan, a removable sitting mat keeps your butt out of the snow, so you don't have to continue up to the summit with squishy, soggy longjohns.
