Take big jumps off steep, powdery cliffs while wearing the Deuter Razor 18 Backpack, whose molded back-panel works like armor protecting your back. Deuter created a Shield Backsystem that uses hard, closed-cell foam for ultimate shock absorption and a multi-layer construction that focuses on protecting sensitive back areas. Cross padding on the shoulders, incorporated with the anatomical hip-belt and shoulder straps, create a secure comfortable carrying system. Ski and snowboard attachments, plus a fleece-lined goggle pocket, mean the Razor has you covered in the backcountry. Deuter included a mesh helmet holder, hydration compatibility, and two dual front-stash pockets that you can conveniently access any time.

No. The pack is made to carry a snowboard in the vertical position.

Stoked on this pack, holds my fat boards, poles and shovel as well as stows my coat so I don't sweat while hiking up. I used the goggle pocket for my camera, sun glasses, wallet and keys. Great pack as I can compress it down when I don't have a lot to carry. One good thing is the hip belt, I wore it loose so I could slip one arm out of the shoulder strap and move the pack forward enough that I could access everything without the worry about dropping it. I still haven't found enough stuff to put in this pack, it probably does hold all you need.
