Perfect First Pack - Toddler Loves It!

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Deuter hit the nail on the head with the perfect combination of function, kid friendly features, and adorable design with the Kikki.

The pack is small, light, and easy for my three year old to get on and off himself. The chest clip keeps it in place during hiking, climbing, and scrambling. The large compartment is roomy enough for a stuffed toy or snacks and a water bottle, and the little side pockets are great for treasures collected along the way.

There are enough adjustments to fit from ~1-5 depending on the age of your kid, and mine also use theirs for preschool. Kikki is made to the same high quality standards as other Deuter products and will last far longer than my little ones need them.

And of course, the bird face and design is absolutely adorable. We always get many compliments and accolades when out and about with these packs. Just picked up a second one for baby brother in green :)

    Perfect first pack

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

This pack is a really good combination of cute and functional for our almost 4 year old girl. She's been using it for day hikes for about 6 months and just took it on her first overnighter. It fits her tiny frame well, yet still holds enough to let her carry her personal items, like a jacket, snacks, and a couple toys. The side pockets hold a small water bottle well, but are also perfect for smaller items like sunglasses or a head lamp, and since they're velcro she can open and close them herself. And the pack even has a hydration sleeve where we could stash a 2/3 full 1 liter Platypus bottle. Getting to "drink from a straw" like Mom and Dad meant more hydration on the trail and less stops for water breaks. She probably wont get more than another year or two out of this pack before she's ready for something bigger, but it's totally worth the small investment in my opinion.

    Perfect first pack

    Great for small people!

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I bought this pack for my five year old to use on his first backpacking trip. I wanted something small enough for him to carry a few light items, but also built to last. The Kikki pack worked out great. I was able to put in a light jacket and a few toys. My son hiked the three miles with little trouble. We tried using the pack for school, but it's a bit too small to hold a regular size folder. It is now his official travel pack. Any toys he wants to bring on trips, he puts in here. I'm very happy with the product.

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I have purchased two for my 4 years old twins. They were so happy to see these funny birds ))). Generally, this backpack had no issues regarding ergonomics, materials durability and sweet design. In addition enough capacious.

    Cute kids pack

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Our three-year-old daughter loves her Kikki- it’s cute, comfortable and simple to use. She’s got two side pockets with Velcro closure that hold sunglasses, mittens, snacks or bottles. The pack is top loading so she can push all her stuff in “all by myself” and then cinch it closed. It has a center buckle on the shoulder straps that keeps it in place. Ali’s about 36” tall and the pack fits well. As parents, we’ve found that the cute factor has greased some travel skids as well. Fun little pack made from some bomber fabric.
