I just got finished using this to backpack in the alps for 3 weeks and overall this bag is really great. It is highly adjustable, holds a lot, and the set-up of the many pockets make it easy to organize your gear without compromising your ability to carry bulky items. A few small concerns: the side water-bottle pockets are made of an elastic material that I'm not sure will wear well, there is no pocket on the hip belt for snacks, camera, whatever, and I agree with the previous review that the frame can make some weird squeaky noises depending on how you have it loaded and how the straps are tightened. Also, the frame is insane, it seems like it would be enough for a MUCH larger pack. That lets you carry some pretty serious weight comfortably with this pack, though, and the only down-side is it's a little on the heavy side. Overall, a GREAT buy. It comes with a rain cover that stores in it's own little pocket in the bottom of the pack too, which makes it easy to access while on the trail.

After searching and reading reviews for other bags, I finally decided for this one.
This bag is awesome! I have pack the following in it:
- MSR Whisperlite Internationale
- Rock 32 tent with footprint, rain fly, and poles
- MSR Base 2 cook set
- Two Nalgene Wide-mouth 32oz bottles
- One shorty, three shirts, two pair of socks, three underwear in a Sea to Summit 10L eVent compression sack.
- One Therm-a-Rest Trail Pro Sleeping Pad
- One Lafuma XL sleeping bag
- One multi towel lite XL
- Petzl Tikka Plus 2 LED Headlamp
- Two flashlights
- eTrex GPS
- Camp food packs
- One 3 liters CamelBak Antidote Reservoir
- One Leatherman Blast Multi-Tool
- One MiniWorks Ex Water Filter
- Some spare batteries, waterproof matches, duct tape, and miscellaneous

So, it has a LOT of space in it.

I gave it 4 stars because I would like it to have some straps at the bottom of the bag, so I can strap the tent or sleeping pad outside of the bag. Also, the shoulder straps makes some squeaking noise while walking.
