Description

A big pack made to feel small.

As far as expedition load-haulers go, the Deuter Aircontact 75+10 Pack may fool you into thinking it's a lot smaller than it really is. Built for comfort during high-mileage movement, the Aircontact features Deuter's proprietary Variflex hip belt plush comfort.

  • Aircontact back system uses an anatomically shaped x-frame for support and breathable mesh for less sweaty-back syndrome
  • Variquick adjustable shoulder harness lets you find the optimal fit without wasting time fumbling with straps (torso length adjusts 17-22 inches)
  • Variflex pivoting hip belt gives you a flush fit and full range of motion
  • Multiple access points mean your gear is never too far away to be practical
  • Ample pockets keep your essentials organized and at the ready
  • Integrated rain cover tucks away when not in use
  • Hydration-compatible so you get the fluids you need on long treks (reservoir not included)

Most comfortable pack I have ever had

  • Gender: Male
  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I've got the aircontact pro 70+15 version. I've got a fractured L5 vertibrae, so hip belt comfort is important to me. The veriflex hipbelt is attached at a central pivot point behind the center of the lower back, allowing the belt to move up and down on each side as your hips do when you walk. This is simply awesome, It makes the pack feel like an extention of your body, not a burden. I'm 6'2" with wide shoulders, this pack adjusted easy to fit great. I regularly carry 25kg without any discomfort at all. If you have backproblems and are looking for a comfortable pack that can handle weight for extended trips, look no further.

Solid pack, carry it all

  • Gender: Male
  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I hiked 165 miles with this pack around 45lbs. It has a super padded waist belt, and air contact set up is very comfortable. Was able to carry all my food for 10 days and pack layers for snow hiking. Has a huge sleeping bag compartment for those negative temp bags and front and top access points makes it super easy to get to your gear.

Solid pack, carry it all

Heavy Loads? No problem!

  • Gender: Male
  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

This is a very well-designed, sturdy pack. The only drawback is the weight... at over 6 lbs, it's heavy, but hey, it can hold 85L, so who cares, right? Here is a brief video review that might be helpful:

Big load big pack worked flawlessly

Did a 16 mile 2 night hike over labor day weekend. Pack was loaded to 50lbs. and I hardly felt it! The plush shoulder straps and waist belt feel great! If you are looking for a pack that can haul a big load, that has the comfort over distance and time. You can't go wrong with the Deuter Aircontact 75+10.
