Demon Skinn Short for Men
Sizing is way off...
- Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
Wanted an easy to wear protection layer for downhill skiing. This product looked like a fit, but the sizing is way off. I am 6' and weigh 170 lbs, so I ordered a medium. The thing is so small it is beyond compression fit. Had the same experience as J.D. that the stitching on the waistband ripped when trying to put it on, so it is also clearly beyond its designed stretch. I fenced it off to my wife, who usually wears size S, and she seems happy with it...
Freakishly small sizing...
- Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
I am 6' tall, weight about 175 lbs, and am very fit. Typically I wear a size 32 inch pant and a medium or large compression short for biking. Based on the size chart on the Demon website, I ordered a men's large (32-34 in) from Backcountry. It was way too small. I sent this back and next ordered a X-Large (34-36 in). It arrived and again it was too small. In fact, this time some of the stitching on the waistband ripped as I put them on! I double-checked the tag and these were in fact labeled men's XL. In both cases, the sizing of the items I received seemed extremely small for a man's sizing and seem better suited to a woman sizing. Not sure if there was some gross mislabeling of this item, but at the very least Backcountry quickly assisted me in returning these items. Conceptually, these look like they would fit my needs but with such freakish sizing I'll need to look elsewhere.
is there padding for your tailbone on...
is there padding for your tailbone on these?
Yes, there is removable tailbone padding. If you check out the image, you can see the padding on the rear view.
Demon Skinn Short
I couldn't be happier with the shorts. They are super light and i can't even tell i have them on. I have bailed a few times hard as F&*K on my tail bone and no pain whatsoever,.
