  • Familiarity:I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Pros: Great protection with three velcro straps for better positioning and hold.

Cons: Stretchy fabric on back end easily gets caught on the velcro and starts shredding.

Overall, this is a great product for protection and holds it's place fairly well if strapped carefully. Best advice I can give you is to put it on over thermals or other clothing, never on bare skin! No matter how perfectly you match the velcro, it will move a bit and start chafing your skin. Once it starts chafing, you'd have to take your pants off just to readjust it again. Definitely not easy to adjust through your pants, believe me because I tried. I ended the day with cuts on one leg and irritated skin (much like a burn) on the other because I was too lazy to strip down and readjust the velcro. But as long as you wear them over some type of clothing, I think it's a great product!

These pads are alright. They offer good protection and saved my knees quite a few times. But they don't tend to stay in place and like to slide down to the point where the knee pads are slightly below my knees. I tried tightening them to get them to stay in place but all that seemed to do was chafe my legs. I would probably purchase different pads if I got another chance but these are better than nothing.

Way too big

My first impression was fantastic since they have plastic plus air padding... Eventually, after trying them on underneath my snowboard pants they felt very uncomfortable and too stiff. When I stood up the flex did not change... They were still a bit bent just like on this picture which eventually would crate a pressure point on my legs. Overall, the guard is way too big. From my point of view, I think they would be the best for beginners and people who like rails. Though, I definitely don't recommend if you're planning to shred all over the mountain...
