A second skin.
If you're someone who will stop mid-ride to adjust a sock that so much as hints at bunching, De Marchi was thinking of you when it designed the Perfecto Lux Sock. Rather than embracing cushion, De Marchi tried to avoid it with the Perfecto, using what it describes as "old-school" machines to knit fine, hydrophobic yarns together to form an extremely thin, lightweight sock with a next-to-skin fit.
The Italian company trusts finer yarn to allow for a sock that's durable and closely-knit, without any extra bulk, and it also adds an anti-blister treatment to the yarn to eliminate the need for a padded heel and toe area. We can't promise it will help you avoid tan lines, but the Perfecto Lux does come with SPF 50+ protection, and a reflective strip around the top helps to make you more visible to motorists in low-light conditions.
- Item #DMA006B
- Q & A
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
- Fit: True to size
Classic euro styling meets technical, moisture-wicking fabrics with a perfectly on-trend cuff height that just radiates Italian cool. Especially when paired with a De Marchi kit.
The only negative is that they'll be hard to keep bright white over time (hence 4 stars instead of 5), but that's a pretty standard gripe with any white sock.
