A pair of classic, minimalist gloves like De Marchi's Perfecto Lux Gloves has the potential to last you seasons in the saddle — especially when they're constructed with a neutral black and grey color palette. Unlike bright colors prone to fading or stains, the black microfiber and perforated reflective material that De Marchi uses to craft this understated but functional pair of gloves is bound to weather trends, changing kit, and most importantly, long days in the saddle, with poise.
De Marchi chose stretchy, soft polyester to ensure the main body of the glove wicks moisture away from your skin quickly, and it eliminates any fasteners or straps with the hope of reducing the risk of gloves damaging delicate, low-denier summer kit when tumbling in the wash. For long days spent riding roads with varied conditions, springy open-cell padding in the glove's palm helps prevent fatigue and absorb vibrations from chip seal while gel printing along the palm improves your overall grip and dexterity on the bars as you sweat.

I don't review products too often... unless they either really make me happy or really don't. These short finger gloves are perfect. I've only ridden with them a couple hundred miles so far but I can't find one flaw at all yet. The material is tough and grippy where it needs to be, soft and supple where it doesn't. I can't speak to durability yet but they feel very sturdy while being light and airy enough for hot weather.
The gray material is extremely reflective and the pads are interesting and comfortable. I say interesting because the density of the padding is different than most padded gloves I've worn in a good way. They feel very comfortable on any position of the bars. There is also mesh-like material between the pads that makes them very breathable.
The best part of all though... there is added material on the non-thumb side which I think was a genius move by DeMarchi. When riding on the hoods this extra material and padding provides added comfort that I never knew I wanted til now.
The sizing is pretty dead on with the chart as well.
Perfect all around gloves and worth every penny. I'm going to buy a second pair just in case they stop making them. Cheers.
