There comes a point in every season when arm warmers are needed for the duration of the ride. For these transitional moments and all the way through winter, the long-sleeve De Marchi Contour Jersey is an invaluable addition to your four-season kit.

Constructed from De Marchi's sensible Dry3+ stretch polyester, the Contour Jersey fits like a form-hugging baselayer, should you choose to wear it under a vest or wind jacket. However, it also performs magnificently as a stand-alone piece, due to its impressive thermal retention and light hydrophobic treatment -- the latter of which ensures rapid moisture transfer from the inside of the garment to keep your skin dry, and your body temperature comfortably regulated. If you're seeking maximum warmth and versatility with minimal bulk, the long-sleeve Contour Jersey will remain at the front of your closet until Spring's end.

The De Marchi Contour Long-Sleeve Jersey is available in three classic colorways: White, Red, or Black. Its full-length front zipper features a soft, chin-saving strap to prevent any chafing when fully zipped. Three generous back pockets provide plenty of storage space for your on-bike fuel, a vest, tools, or anything else you need to carry while out on your ride. Reflective elements at the lower back hem of the jersey ensure you stay visible if you're out on the road after dusk. The reverse side of that hem gets a gel gripper elastic to help keep the jersey in place and covering your lower backside. Sizes extend from Small through XXX-Large.

Sizing is okay, some construction issues

  • Familiarity:I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I want to like De Marchi more, but their sizing and sometimes their construction is a miss. This time, the way the material is assembled, with a large flat seam in side along the arms and back, is noticeable and distracting. Not as comfortable as it could/should be.
