Tone Snowboard

Does the thought of freshly frosted glades, perfectly manicured jumps, and top-to-bottom groomers wet your whistle? If so, you'd be hard pressed to find a one-board quiver that crushes everything with the freestyle finesse and silky-smooth style of the DC Tone Snowboard. This twin-shaped deck offers a unique Anti-Camber profile that's engineered with Camber Core at the tip and tail for all of the benefits of rocker without the lack of pop and instability inherent to many rockered designs.

Basically, the board is flat between the binding inserts for straight-line stability and a neutral feel found on many flat cambered decks. After the binding inserts, the Tone rises four millimeters at the tip and tail. This adds float when you're tracking through deep powder, and it also allows you to butter and press without hanging up. However, DC recognized that this rockered design compromised its stability on landings and ability to pre-load the nose and tail for boosting ollies and nollies. That's why they engineered their Camber Core into these rockered zones. By bending the rockered zones into an arched, bridge-like shape, the Tone retains added resistance when flexing the tip and tail. This gives it the stability and pre-loaded pop found on a traditional camber board, but without the catchy feel.

Inside the guts of this freestyle slayer, you'll find a Stratus core made of poplar wood for lightweight performance and a medium flex. Its quadrax fiberglass layup adds torsional stiffness, making the board great for high-speed bombing without unwanted chatter. In addition, its Radius 2 Flat nose and tail kicks provide lift when planing through deep snow, keeping your nose from submerging in powder.
