Status Snowboard Boot - Men's

DC gave the Status Men’s Snowboard Boot a super-stiff flex to give you control when you’re ripping big lines, and a Boa lacing system to give you a precise and immediate fit. Not just Boa, but two-section Boa Focus system that let’s you adjust the top and bottom of your boot separately. This boot handles the steepest couloirs, biggest drops, and fastest runs with total control and un-ending comfort. DC also added a synthetic leather upper to give you all the water resistance you need and enough durability to last season after season.

Bottom Line: Ride with all the intensity you want.

DC makes a good boa boot

By:
September 13, 2010

So I got a pair of DC boots a couple years ago with a Reebok Pump like system in it to pump up the boot and also a single boa system and I never got a chance to write a review. Now that specific boot is discontinued, but I love the boa part. I can easily loosen up my boots when riding up the lift, and quickly tighten again (with big mittens on) when getting back to the top. This makes it a lot easier on my ankles as I tend to ride with my boots pretty tight for quick response and performance. I am excited to get a pair of these double boas next, I'm sure they're a good buy.

my personal xmas present

Got these just at the turn of the new year. I was moving to these from some Burton SL-9s which I loved, but the laces kept coming apart on them and they're impossible to rethread (first-gen ones anyway). But these surpassed my expectations. The Boa system is the real winner here meaning that I never loosened up during the day. ID's a big funky, but I'm not buying these for style!

Are the liners on the Status heat moldable? I bbought a pair

Are the liners on the Status heat moldable? I bbought a pair of DC Status boots last season. I'm happy with them except for the fact that I experience heal lift when I try to carve toe side.

Painful pinching on both inside and outside ankle bone

By:
December 21, 2009

Stiff is good. But the inside padding around the ankle is so thin that the boots pinch and hurt my ankles once I put them on. I did rode three solid days on them but they hurt. I have slim feet and the boots fits well except for the ankles.

I have the early model for this boot a DC allegiance from 2008. I have used it for the last 2 winter seasons, and I agree with Matthews comment. I also want to add that I LOVE the boot really tight for the run and I do tend to over crank the boa laces on my boots. To help with the boot pinch, I loosen the boots just before I enjoy the chair lift and I re tighten just before the next run. This helps with my boot pinch when I over tighten. Also, with its alpha liners it did take a full season (not just 3 days) to break in enough so that they were comfortable.

have you tried not cranking down the cables way down? i had a similar problem which went away when i tightened them so they were only snug. i will say that now that i have 30+ days in they have packed way out and now need to get a new insole for them to take up some of the room. im wearing the 13s.

Super Duper

By:

I have the 08s. Super stiff, inner ankle on both boots slightly sore during first day. a little more difficult to maneuver when skating vs softer boots . had to tighten alot during my day, but still more predictable flex than my lace boots. one cable was not attached on arrival, but i read the instructions and it was fixed super quick.
