Sometimes being able to ride the perfect line requires some reconnaissance on your part. Sure we'd like to jump into the pow, point the chute, and carve our freeriding cursive into the open bowl. But in the untamed backcountry, it can be a waiting game. The DC Recon Pant was developed by athletes who know that good things come to those who wait. Sturdy fabric and generous 15K-rated waterproofing are demanded by the likes of Devun Walsh and Iikka Backstrom to keep them dry in the backcountry while they line up all the right pieces to get the shot.

The 15K-rated fabric repels moisture and is stretchy for freedom of movement when hiking and riding, and fully taped seams prevent moisture from seeping throughout the day. Cross- ventilation mesh-lined vents on the inseam and outseam promote maximum airflow to keep you cool on the trek to the top, and the brushed mesh lining adds warmth when you want it and improves breathability when you need it. Boot gaiters with lace hooks keep snow from getting in your boots when you're breaking trail, and Shant Control pull tabs lift your cuffs up so you don't rip them up when you're walking back to the truck.
