Facing foul weather in pursuit of powder, park, or pipe is a whole lot easier when you arm yourself with the heavy-duty technical fabric, fully taped seams, and perfect amount of insulation of the DC Men's Ranger 15 Insulated Jacket. It doesn't hurt that, with its classic outdoor design, this thing looks incredibly stylish as well. The waterproof Exotex 15 fabric keeps you dry even when the snow is dumping, and the 3M Thinsulate insulation is thicker in the body than in the sleeves for optimal warmth without any motion-restricting or lady-repelling bulk.

DC equipped this thing with tons of comfortable and functional features. A sherpa fleece lining feels so soft that you may never want to head back to the lodge. A removable powder skirt and Lycra cuff gaiters keep out that pesky snow while a hidden balaclava lets you shield yourself from the wind and impress your friends at the same time. A whole slew of pockets are ready to accommodate your wallet, phone, and flask.

Solid Jacket for the Slopes

  • Familiarity:I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share
  • Fit:True to size
  • Size Bought: Small

My husband bought this jacket for snowboarding and loves it. He wanted to provide some exact info on the fit, so here goes: His suit jacket measurements are a 38 short, 32-33 sleeve length. This jacket fits well in the shoulders with enough room throughout to add baselayers comfortably. His jeans are a 30 in the waist and the powder skirt on this jacket fits him perfectly (sounds like it might be a tight fit for someone with a larger waist though). The thumbholes are awesome and the hidden balaclava was a nice surprise. This jacket is reserved for colder days out on the slopes - he burns up on those 30+ degree days.
