The DC Men's Gizmo Boa Snowboard Boot may look harmless enough, but once you unleash its powers you'll soon find yourself viciously tearing apart steep lines and destroying every feature in the park. The hybrid lacing system is designed to lock your heel down like never before for next-level control and response anywhere on the mountain.

Boa lacing in the lower part of the boot keeps your heel securely in place to improve response and precision without creating painful pressure points, and traditional lacing in the upper zone with Wrap Lock hardware allows you to fine tune the tightness above your ankle so you can dial in the perfect fit. The Red liner features EVA foam to provide a comfy fit and a fleece lining to help your toes stay toasty. Unilite replaces rubber in the outsole to shave weight and improve cushioning without sacrificing traction. From peak to park, count on the Gizmo for the reliability and control you need no matter where you're shredding.

Great when they work

  • Familiarity:I've used it several times

I grabbed a pair of these as I tried them on in a store and felt great. This boot has some awesome ankle support and is nice and stiff. On the snow it was great, responsive and comfortable. That's where the good news stops though. When I went to take them off I gently unlocked the boa and the thing almost fell off (the boa). Something went wrong and the boa almost came off, but did not release the line. I had to pry the boot off my foot. Dogfunk was awesome about it's return and replacement, however the second pair came with the exact same problem of the boa falling off.

I wish the boa system worked as I really liked these boots but DC's quality control is terrible. I would encourage anyone to pass on these boots till DC figures out it's quality control.
