Run or bike comfortably in warm weather in the breathable Darn Tough Merino Wool No-Show Mesh Socks.

The open-mesh knitting on the top of the Darn Tough Merino Wool No-Show Mesh Sock makes these socks lightweight and extremely breathable. Soft, non-itchy merino wool pulls sweat away from your feet to the surface of the sock where it can evaporate. Darn Tough added nylon for durability and Lycra around the arch for a foot-hugging fit. Your feet can go the distance in these low-cut socks, and they'll stay dry and cool, even in balmy temps.

Darn tough never disappoints with quality. The sock is incredibly breathable and offers a great feel for running. You can be sure that there won't be any blisters popping up because of the moisture wicking properties from the merino wool.

    The Best

    • Familiarity:I've used it several times
    • Fit:True to size
    • Size Bought: Large

Darn Tough are simply the best wool socks money can buy. Super comfortable, super durable, and a lifetime warrantee! Technically I should have bought the XL, but I could only get Large for the great sale price, so I decided to take the chance. I'm a slim guy, size 13 shoe, and the Large in this style are a decent fit. The only thing I don't like is the toe region seems quite small and tight. I just wear them with my little toe outside the specific toe region and they are perfectly comfy. Not sure if the XL would make much difference on this aspect. This particular style do seem to be better suited for narrow to medium feet. I would not recommend these for wide feet.

    fit, comfort and durability

I have 20-30 pairs of Darn Tough (formerly Cabot) socks. Awesome products: high merino wool content, fit well, warm, durable and comfortable.

the sock that works round the clock

I absolutely LOVE Darn Tough products but these are truly my favorites. They have the durability and reliability of the original Darn Tough hiking sock, but these utilize a much thinner overall insulation.

Again, they are exceptionally durable and will hold up to almost anything you can throw at them! I have gone through desert, snow, rain.. no fire.. but they have held up wonderfully against everything else and have kept my feet feeling great the whole time. They are breathable but still stay warm when you need it. Not too long ago I was hiking on a very snowy/wet day in the Sierra's and these were all I had on and they kept me warm and comfy even though my feet were totally soaked from snow and freezing water.

If you value a solid pair of socks and don't enjoy holes from your toes blowing threw, then these are the socks for you! Best part is the Darn Tough guarantee, if your socks do get a hole, just send them back for a free replacement, but trust me you'll never need to do that.

      Versatile warm weather sock

      • Familiarity:I've used it several times

I just bought my second pair of these socks and use them for a variety of activities in the summer. My GF has the women's version and she loves hers as well. They are light enough to run in but with the ankle design they are also very comfortable to wear with a 1/4 hiking boot (Merrell Moabs or Salomon Quest GTX). The color selection isn't great but they're socks so I'm not bothered. Being wool and fairly thin these socks dry very quickly. I've brought them on climbing trips and even though I sweat alot on the hike in, they will be bone dry after a 10 minute ascent if they are left in the sun. Also took them on a recent backpacking trip to Mt. Hood and they were very comfortable hiking 10 miles a day. Are they warm? I wouldn't know since they are more of a summer sock for me. I would recommend a 1/4 sock with cushion if you're looking for some more warmth and comfort. But for a fairly light do anything sock these rule. I wear size 12/13 shoe and wear an XL.

      Too big for me...

      • Familiarity:I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
      • Fit:Runs large

I wear a size 7.5 shoe most times. Depending on shoe, from 7 to 7.5 actually. Foot is 24cm actual size. The mediums for me were too big, making them uncomfortable. I'll be returning them. Wish BC had them in small, would be perfect.

      Good as new

Got these socks just before an extended backcountry trip with the intention of throwing them away at the end. After wearing them for a month and a half, with a few rinses in streams, they were still good as new when out of the wash. I run in them all the time and am stunned how well they continue to hold up. They might be magic, because they just don't wear out.

A sock that will outlast you

        • Familiarity:I've put it through the wringer

If you are the trail running light and fast type, these socks are great, I have taken these through just about any condition you can think of and they performed well, after 10 days canyoneering in Escalante my smartwool socks of similar design wore out to the point of retirement, Darn Tough says it best, these socks will stand strong when the going gets tough!

Not meant for a human foot

        • Familiarity:I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

These are just awkward. I have other wool performance socks that are wonderful. But these have a spherical shaped toe area which creates an awkward fit and feel. Definitely returning these.

        Went back for seconds!

If you look through the reviews you will see that I bought a pair of these in 2009. Well I just recently bought another pair which should tell you something. I primarily use these socks for running either on trail or road and either hot or cold days. They are a really good all around sock and really high quality. Now if you are a really serious runner I wouldn't necessarily use these on race day or a really hot day, but I personally have a few other socks for those situations.

          Stoked about... socks?

Who knew socks could make your day awesome? With these, your feet will be super comfortable, and DRY. I have super gnarly sweaty feet from running, and these breathe like a dream, and best of all, wool is naturally anti-bacterial, so they stay smelling fresher longer.

            Best socks I own!!!

I use these socks mostly for running and hiking but they are comfortable enough that you can use them for whatever. I have several pair of SmartWool socks that I love but these are hands-down my favorite. And it is true what everyone says, they do last about a solid week before they start to smell. My only problem is that I now refuse to wear anything except wool on my feet.

              Love...

I bought one pair of these last year and they are "Darn Tough” I wear them cycling and running and they're the best socks I've ever owned hands down and absolutely worth every penny. I'm back to buy as many as my wallet can stand...buy them and you'll love them like I do.
