My go to sock

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: True to size

I've found this to be a great sock for my trail running adventures. I was worried about them being too hot but found that the mix of materials are perfect for all temperatures for my area (-5 to high 80s). They stay put and I've not had any blisters from the sock moving or bunching up. They offer the right amount of support and compression. I've put many miles (hundreds) on 1 pair and they are still performing in cushion and support.

Queen Sock of the World

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
  • Fit: True to size

This sock is beyond imaginably comfortable. Not only does it never get wet and soggy as lower quality socks, due to its wool material, but also always keeps your feet at a comfortable temperature; whether it's too hot or cold outside.

For being "plain old white socks," they actually look really cool.

And....WOW. The time and work that was put into making them is surely evident. Just taking a look at the fabric, compared with, say, my New Balance (NB) socks; the artsmanship compared to NB's socks just doesn't work. These socks make the NB socks look like cheap ones. This socks puts Nike and all of those infamous brand name socks to shame. The quality is just...incomparable.

That's, actually the main reason I buy this sock, because I know that it will last me at least 20 years. And, even if one of my socks begins to start tearing, I can always send it to its wonderful manufacturers, in Vermont, and they'll replace it for a new one; FOR FREE. Let me see NB or Nike do that! These are lifetime socks, with a lifetime guarantee. :) And, in the end, I'm saving money by buying a couple of these; rather than buying a couple of cheap-o socks every year or so.

And, for you production-based-nationalists, THESE BEAUTIES WERE MADE IN THE USA. In the Right and Honorable, and most beautiful, state of Vermont.

Darn Tough...nuff said

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: True to size

These socks really do live up to their name. The cushion on the bottom gives the support I need without suffocating my feet and bringing on that subsequent pool of sweat. I would recommend these socks for running and biking.

Great sock, runs big.

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: Runs large

Let me begin by addressing the functionality of this sock. This sock does everything you'd hope for. It's comfortable, keeps your feet dry ,and an added bonus is it looks good. Consisting of Coolmax polyester, lycra, etc the sock breathes like a fish underwater. Long gone are the days of your feet swimming in a cesspool of your own sweat, which is nice. In addition to this, it provides more cushion under your feet which is useful especially if you are on your feet all day. It's not much but the difference is noticeable. Lastly, the sizing chart indicates that a size 10 (men) would fit in the L. However, upon sliding the sock onto my foot it dawned on me, primarily because of the excess sock everywhere, that the L would be too large.
