Ever wonder what’s the big deal with Dankso? Slip your feet into the Solstice Shoes and wonder no more. Since you can’t stick your feet through the Internet, here’s some verbage that should clear things up. For starters, these lightweight clogs feature open-cell foam footbeds that cushion your every step. Dri-Lex topsoles wick moisture away from your feet and resist the build-up of odor-causing bacteria. Dankso added stable, supportive steel shanks and suede arch and heel support pads—don’t be surprised if you feel like kissing your shoes after a long day on your feet. The Solstices’ full-grain leather uppers resist water and abrasion while the pigskin linings feel smooth and soft.

Bottom Line: The Dankso Solstice Clogs. They’re kind of a big deal.

I do agree that the Solstice clogs do run small. They're very comfortable once you find your size. I am up to my third pair.

Great clog

Great shoe can be dressed down with jeans or wear with skirts. Comfortable. Tends to run slightly smaller.

i love this shoe

By:

I bought this clog in brown and then black because I liked it so much. Like the other reviewer, I thought I'd wear a 39 (based on other brands and even previous Danskos) but had to return them for a 40.

These clogs look great with both skirts and jeans, and they're immediately comfortable (once you have the right size). I have had plantar fasciitis in the past, so I care about comfort and quality, and these shoes have given me no problems. And I am now two weeks out from ACL surgery, and they are great post-knee surgery shoes too!

What A Shoe!!!

By:

I had reservations at first. I normally wear a 10 and tried on a 40 but it was too small. It rubbed blisters on my toes after wearing them around for about 15 minutes. I exhanged the shoe for a 41 and broke them in a few hours each day for about a week. Then I was good to go. They are so comfortable! I can wear them all day without socks if I choose. I get many compliments. This is my first pair but it will not be my last! Dansko Shoes can't be beat. I hope to try the boots next. What A Shoe!!!

Soooo Comfortable!

If you are looking for a great work/jeans shoe that has all day support, this shoe is perfect. I love the lighter feel to this clog (it looks more like a shoe than a clog to me), and it looks great dressed up a bit. And there is a little stretch at the instep making it comfortable and easy to get on. You will love it!

Great option for a high instep!

By:
February 24, 2011

I have always wanted a pair of Dansko clogs but I have a high instep and have never found a pair of that my feet would even slip into. I found these at a local shoe store and tried them on, a dream come true. I will have to wear them around the house for a couple weeks to break them in though, they do need some stretching - but I'm confident they will based on other reviews. The elastic at the top of the instep and the sides is really what makes this particular Dansko clog suitable for my fat and ugly feet. I purchased size 37 (6.5 - 7 US equivalent) fits my wide & high-instep feet perfectly. Usually I find myself buying shoes in size 7 to fit my width and instep, despite my foot length being 6 - 6.5.

great shoe

This is a great shoe - comfortable and cute. I ordered the size I thought would be right for my foot (39) - I usually wear an 8 1/2 or 9 - and they were too small. So maybe they run a little small? I tried to order the next size up and backcountry.com is sold out. So I will have to look elsewhere.

Wife digs these clogs. Started with the black then purchased the brown as well. She wears them for work with slacks.
