I really do love Danskos. They are sooo comfy and can be worn all day long. I own three pairs of the Margrete sandal. They are a great work/casual shoe. Here's the catch: Dansko now makes some of their shoes in China (versus European countries) and I SWEAR the quality is different. I had to order three pairs of Margretes from Backcountry before getting the right pair. The problem? The shoes made in China DID NOT FIT like the shoes made in Europe. They were also a different color (this was not a big deal to me). Needless to say, I really want Dansko to stop the China thing- it is just way too confusing... So if you order these, be aware. You might be surprised by what you receive.

Annie, I noticed the same thing about the shoes made in China. I wrote to Dansko and they said all their shoes are made of equally materials, craftmanship, etc. I really don't want to spend the money for shoes made in china. I have a pair that I bought last summer and the logo on the heel of the shoe rubbed off after 1 week.

I love my Dansko professional clogs, but they're quite loose-fitting.
I love my Dansko professional clogs, but they're quite loose-fitting. I'm wondering how the fit of this style compares with the professional clog (with the back). This being a sandal, I'd want the font to be a bit more snug. Would it make sense to possibly go down a size or is the cut/style of the shoe a bit less roomy than the professional clogs?

I have finally found a shoe with nice style that is comfortable. I should've listened to my friends a long time ago and purchased these shoes. I spend alot of time on my feet at work and didn't realize how much difference a good shoe would make. Don't get me wrong I miss how my high heels look but these shoes are great.

The Dansko Margrete Casual Shoe is made from Latigo Leather. The brown pictured is the same as the brown we have in stock. I just went and double checked it for you. These shoes are very comfortable BUT they have a tendency to tip over sideways causing your ankle to roll. I just sprained my ankle this weekend wearing them. Not fun.
