The other review is right on; this wool zip t is soft (I wore it right out of the package with no under layer) it is not itchy to me, the inner and outer seams are fairly flat, the zipper nestles into a small flap when zipped all the way up, and the weave seems nice and tight. One thing that was a little surprising is that the neck band when zipped up does not come up very high, so there's not really enough to fold the collar down, and it doesn't give as much protection as other zip t's I have. That's okay as it doesn't really reduce the value of the top. Now for the best part: it is made in Norway with even a nice tag on the lower side seam that must be the Norwegian flag. This was important to me, so if you don't want to spend a pretty good price on a top made in China, this is the one. I have some Icebreaker tops and they are nice, but made in China. I don't mean to harp on this point, but when you buy a European brand, I feel that it's a better value if you get a garment made there.

No, this does not have thumbholes. The sleeves are shorter than my various Icebreakers that are designed with thumbholes. I just got this top today, but it looks and feels to be of very high quality and I highly recommend it.

I just got this top (and the matching bottoms) today, thus I cannot comment on it's performance. I usually wear a 42 and being between the L and XL, I gambled and chose the L (41"). It fits very well; similar to the 'Slim Fit" offered by Icebreaker. It is soft and comfortable. This one will be a winner for years to come. I highly recommend this top (and the matching bottoms).

Soft, soft ,soft. Feels like your favorite comfy blanket on a cold winter night. I'm 6'2" 225 lbs and XXL is snug. Size up and enjoy the quality that is Dale of Norway.
