Start something.

With the Dalbello Rampage I.D. boots on your feet, you'll be able to send booters, grease rails, and pop off natural features all season without fear of being sidelined by the shin bang that too often comes with the territory. Not only will your dogs feel better all season long, thanks to the pre-punched Contour 4 shell fit, shock-absorbing bootboard, and I.D. Thermo Now heat-moldable liner, but you'll ride like a legend too, courtesy of the Rampage's three-piece Cabrio Design Architecture and center-balance Rocker stance. By using three pieces of plastic instead of the traditional 2, Dalbello can use super-stiff plastic in the lower shell and cuff for serious control and lateral stability, but still offer up a comfortable, progressively flexing tongue that'll give just enough on hard park landings while offering up plenty of support when you're rallying the rest of the mountain.

Dalbello's also cooked up a whole mess of fit refinements over the years, a number of which are featured on the Rampage. Key among them is the Dynalink rearfoot retention system, which uses a flexible cable to pull the foot back into the heel pocket for bomber hold when you're pushing the limit. By connecting the cable shell-to-shell instead of shell-to-cuff, Dalbello's able to keep the Rampage's flex smooth and consistent and virtually eliminate heel lift, letting you ski harder and more securely in all terrain. The inverted forefoot buckle also pulls your foot down into the bootboard instead of pinching the shell around the ball of your foot, and the adjustable lean, flex, and canting mechanisms let you get the Rampage's fit tighter than your favorite set of man-tights. As a final touch, Dalbello designed the Rampage with a center-balanced Rocker stance, which provides a more neutral platform for wide and rockered skis, and made sure the toe and heel lugs are replaceable, keeping your soles grippy and your bindings releasing properly.

Great boot!

  • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share

My wife has size 9 feet so we had to purchase a men's boot in order for her to get a Dalbello boot. The sizes run small from the multiple boots we had received. She ended up needing a 27.5. This boot feels comfortable despite her wide foot and not super tight around her calf muscle as some other options. The flex is perfect for her as she prefers a boot that is not super stiff for comfort purposes. Cosmetically the boot is great. The red buckles are neon red. The buckles swivel to tighten half size increments to get that perfect fit. Thermo ID liner provide extra comfort. We had to return a few boots before getting this one and backcountry expedited the process excellently. They are absolute professionals regarding ordering and suggesting the correct merchandise for customers.
