Krypton Pro I.D. Ski Boot - Men's

The Dalbello Krypon Pro I.D. Boot sports Dalbello’s signature Cabrio Tech three-piece design that gives skiers a smooth and progressive flex, unmatched lateral stability, and a truly customizable fit. A favorite of aggressive freeskiers and park riders, the three-piece design rules for hard landings and lacks the harsh stopping point that plagues traditional overlap boots. Dalbello’s Dynalink rear foot closure system locks heels in place, while the low cuff hinge placement allows for natural movement of the legs throughout the flex range. Firm or anti-shock interchangeable foot beds, two easily swappable tongues, heat moldable Intuition liners, and canting and lean adjustments offer an unlimited customization options.

Bottom Line: The last boot you’ll ever try.

o.k. these are just flat good boots

came off of a pair of foamed WC 120 Langes...broke-back blue ones that I thought were irreplaceable. Well long story short...got injured bad in Dec. Calf and ankle smoked. Did not want to break the bank foaming another pair of Langes to accomodate the new ankle shape. Well I read a bunch of stuff on how to heat mold these babies and rolled the dice. Bingo, perfect fit, lucky huh... Well I got tot tell ya they ski well, really well. The trick for me was removing the white "B" tongue and using the black "C". I'm 5'11" and 165lbs in my shorts. Found they absorb rough terrain much better than with the stiffer tongue. They rail turns and laterally they are pretty dang quick.

I was wondering if there was an easily available replacement

I was wondering if there was an easily available replacement liner for this boot. I tried these on but the wrap-around liner was horrible for me. I got the blender but they are too soft, even at 6'00'', 160lbs

Couldn't be a better boot

I had last years rampage, but found it to be too soft so I upgraded to the Pro I.D. This is by far the best fitting and best performing boot I have ever worn. They really feel great everywhere from the park, jumping cliffs, to flying down steep powder lines, or bumps. My shins feel great even after a rough icy landing. The intuition liner is not soft at all, but feels perfect after heat molding and seems like it adds power transfer from my feet. I have the white B flex tongue, 4mm forward lean wedge, forward flex insert in top position, landing gear boot board. I where 25.5, I'm 5'7", 160 lbs. It took me 8 days of riding over two weeks to tweak the fit to perfection, but it is absolutely perfect now. The available adjustments (flex, lean, canting) are really simple but implemented very effectively into the design. I'm confident almost anyone can achieve a custom fit with kryptons. And for the high level of comfort, the perfomance of the Pro I.D. is hands down the best for a boot that feels so great on my feet (although I have never tried similar three buckle style boots like those from Full Tilt). They were a bit expensive for me, but I won't be needing anything else for at least a few seasons.

Keeping all other adjustments equal, by how much does the flex

Keeping all other adjustments equal, by how much does the flex index change when you swap from the B tongue to the C tongue?

a flexon that can grip on hardpack

Unlike most four buckle overlap boots the forward flex on the krypton is smooth, progressive, and reboundy. Laterally these are as stiff as any other top tier four buckle boot. For anyone that has ever had problems keeping their heel locked down, this boot is for you. It has all the support and rebound of the flexon with a little more weight and beef for the harder conditions. I also really like how easy it is to customize the cuff alignment, boot boards, flex, tongues, and buckles -- you can do it all with one tool. Why manufactures still rivet buckles is beyond me! Unless I end up skiing exclusively on east coast boiler-plate I dont think I'll ever go back to an overlap boot.

Did dalbello make any alterations in the 2011 Krypton pro over

Did dalbello make any alterations in the 2011 Krypton pro over the 2010, or did they just change the color?

What about from 2009 to 2010...any changes? When did they supposedly add the 4 contours to the interior of the shell or is that just marketing?

Booter Crunk

Great boot, great quality and AWESOME liner. Only issue is the instep is pretty low. I have pretty thin feet and it still presses pretty good on the top of my foot. This can be remedied thru fitting and and molding the liner. Great stiffness and shin support. 2 different tongues and boot boards makes this pretty much the ultimate set up for boots! They are pretty light, but not cheesy light like full tilts. These are serious boots and made to last a long time, they might not be the lightest out there, but they are built very tough and made to last.

Does anyone have info on the boot sole length in mm for 26.5

Does anyone have info on the boot sole length in mm for 26.5 / 27 ? Unable to try these on and I'm right on the fence for sizing... 9.5 street shoe, wide-ass toe box.

Thanks y'all.

27= 316 BSL I wear a 10.5 street shoe and am in a 27 Krypton shell. A good rule of thumb is size down one size from your street shoe, 26 or 26.5 (same shells) should be good starting point. Also these are not really wide boots.

Best. Ever.

Easily the best fitting, most comfortable boot on the market. The Cabrio Tech three-piece design offers great flex options, as do the multiple tongue options. Great for big lines, bomb drops, and stomping cliffs - the Intuition Gold I.D. liner can be molded at any local shop for a perfect fit. I found them a little narrow in the toes, but that's to be expected from a 98mm last boot (had them custom fit and they feel awesome!). Would suggest replacing the stock (hard) footbeds with the optional anti-shock option - far more comfortable. Overall a really smooth flexing boot with great support and super customizable. 5/5

Debating to go Kyrpton Pro or Krypton Il Moro. I'm an Expert

Debating to go Kyrpton Pro or Krypton Il Moro. I'm an Expert skier in Utah I'm 5'11" 160lbs. Spend most my time at the bird or back country... any Suggestions?

I am 6'2" 180lbs I rode the Krypton II Moro all last season at the Bird. Dalbello makes the best boots on the market in my opinion. The boots are so poppy in pow. I am planning on buying the Kyrpton Pros this season because of the ratchet buckle. I never could get the buckle tight enough for my liking. I had difficulty forcing my shins into the front of the boot because of it. The ratchet is a good idea for snowboards, but you loose customization without a power strap and micro top buckle.

Also, you might consider the Pro if you are stomping big landings. The Moro only comes with one stiff footboard. The Pro comes with an anti-shock and a stiff footboard. I did found that the anti-shock (I bought it separately for the Moro) was not as responsive on hardpack, but it got the job done.

Definitely the Pro...better line (gold vs. silver ID liner) and much more customizable. Also comes with a stiffer flex which will be perfect for shredding pow lines at Snowbird
